LXP is used to ensure that content delivery on websites is made quickly. MyAccount is used to update passwords for customers visiting the website. MyView assists in carrying out human resource practices within the organization. HR practices involve hiring, firing, promotion and remuneration. The development of a website that offers and supports all the requirements of customers of Motorola Solutions Inc is a development that will serve in increasing the profitability of Motorola Solutions Inc by streamlining its customer service (Vinerean, 2017). A strategic technology plan for the implementation of a website tailor-made to suit all of the companies’ services is necessary. 

A strategic technology plan is a plan that is concerned with strategy and which indicates where an organization is and where an organization plans to be regarding infrastructure and technology (Kenno et al., 2020). Strategic technology plans are roadmaps to technology-based decisions and give frameworks for technology tasks. Priority is observed when choosing technology-related tasks. An organization's goals are outlined in a strategic technology plan, although it seeks to accommodate new technologies. Technology plans are crucial for organizations since they indicate what needs to be done and the steps and procedures to be followed to bring the project to successful completion.

Mission Statement 

A mission statement is an integral part of any strategic technology plan. Mission statements indicate the aims and values in regards to an organization like Motorola Solutions Inc. Critical aspects of a mission statement are the target audience, the contribution or product and the distinction which determines the uniqueness of the project (Quaranta & Di Carlo, 2020). A mission statement should be short and precise and with the ability to offer a complete description of why the business exists. Motorola solutions mission is to ensure its products, services and solutions can assist the human population at times they are needed most. The target audience of Motorola Solutions Inc. is the entire human population, and the products contribute to making life easier for human beings. The uniqueness of products by Motorola Solutions Inc. is based on the innovativeness of Motorola employees. 

SWOT Analysis 

SWOT analysis is vital when setting up a strategic technology plan. An investigation into strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats provides the real situation that is facing a company (Gürel & Tat, 2017). The SWOT analysis provides needs assessment for Motorola Inc. and is therefore essential for the company. Strengths are characteristics inherent to a company that makes it a notch higher than its competitors. Weaknesses are internal issues and shortcomings that the company experiences. Opportunities are the external factors that can be tapped to make a company improve itself and its operations. Threats are the factors outside a company that can adversely affect the activities of a company. 

Firstly, Motorola Solutions Inc. is a recognized brand which makes it compete more favourably with other market brands. Having penetrated various markets, Motorola Solutions Inc. has been able to get itself numerous customers who help the company grow by providing more customers through referrals. Motorola has penetrated the European, African, and North American markets (Al-Najjar & Besanko, 2017). Also, Motorola can manufacture large volumes due to its large companies that ensure production at high quantities is made possible. The ability of Motorola Solutions Inc. to draw its employees from the cream of people with information technology skills makes the company competitive. Human resources form the most significant part of any company. The human resource develops strategies and is crucial in the implementation of a companies' policies to ensure the successful realization of a companies' goals. 

Motorola Solutions Inc. has several challenges and shortcomings that negatively impact its business. Weaknesses are hard to notice, and it requires customers to pinpoint the weaknesses correctly (Phadermrod, Crowder, & Wills, 2019). Motorola Inc has the defect of having some of its products being defective and the defective products sometimes find their way to the consumers. The faulty products' functionality is significantly reduced, and the customers are forced to look for products that hat function well from other companies. Some employees at Motorola do not develop their skills, and this makes them lag compared to employees of other companies. A lack of motivation by employees makes them not to offer their best to the company, and this adversely affects the performance of the company. 

Unmotivated employees are an immense danger to the company. Employees form the most crucial aspect of any company, and lack of suitable employees translates to substandard products and services (Meredith, Mantel Jr, & Shafer, 2017). Substandard services by a company force customer to look for better options in other companies which leads to a loss in market share and a lower profitability margin. Motorola Solutions Inc. has been experiencing weak profitability over the years with drops in sales and profits realized by the technology-based company. 

Opportunities exist in the market Motorola Inc is based, and the opportunities offer a lot of hope for the company. The possibilities are based on the external environment, and they indicate if some improvements can be made to make the business grow and defeat the competitors (Gürel & Tat, 2017). Motorola brand offers them an opportunity in that they can penetrate the market more and thus gain a lot of customers. The use of social media is an additional opportunity and comes in handy for advertisements and promotional techniques. Motorola has been able to mount severe promotional campaigns over the years, and promotional tactics and robust marketing techniques serve in expanding the market share of Motorola Inc. Also, readiness to take risks through the innovation of new products makes Motorola Inc. have a variety of products for its dynamic customers. 

Threats to Motorola Solutions come in various forms, with competition being the most severe threat. Asian countries like China, Japan and Korea have come up with affordable and sleek technology that competes with Motorola. Competition is a serious challenge because the new products by companies abroad can reach the American market, which is the base of Motorola Inc (Al-Najjar & Besanko, 2017). A lack of government protection by the United States government is to blame. Motorola has not been able to penetrate the Asian market, where government legislation blocks the entry of foreign products. 

Goals for Setting up a Website 

Long term and short-term goals of setting up a strategic technology plan need to be instituted (Kingsnorth, 2019). The long-term goal of setting up a website is to ensure that Motorola Solutions can sell its products to online customers. The long-term goal aims at creating a way of allowing customers to access Motorola Solutions on the website. Websites give forms of advertising and marketing to vast markets at the convenience of a customers' phone or laptop. Short term goals are set up to break down the plan into several achievable goals and milestones. The short-term goals link together in ensuring the long-term goals are realized to a fruitful completion. 

Human Resource Requirement 

It is necessary to have the entire organization on board when it comes to the execution of a strategic technology plan. The personnel required for the implementation of a website from the beginning to the end need to be determined. The Human resource office at Motorola needs to be brought on board to ensure the recruitment of competent individuals to implement the plan successfully. All stakeholders in a company need to be informed of the strategic technology plan and must be brought on board to ensure they all work towards the realization of the company goals. A project manager is an essential addition to the company and should take care of the development and execution of the strategic technology plan but with the support of the top management, including the CEO of Motorola Inc (Meredith et al., 2017). 

Other Requirements 

It is vital to have the resource requirement of the strategic technology plan. Human personnel form the most significant and most valuable resource. Still, they require equipment for them to properly execute the project in a bid to bring the realization of the short-term and long-term goals of the strategic technology plan. Extra office space for the workforce that will be setting up and running the website is a factor that needs to be considered. The computers and other devices are also essential to the execution of the strategic technology plan. Computers form a significant part of the hardware needed for the implementation of the technology plan. Software and protocols are also necessary for the execution of a strategic technology plan for setting up a website, and the best should be implemented to have the best site (Kingsnorth, 2019). Capital is a very crucial resource since it ensures that all the resources are easily obtained. A budget should be set up with the support of the top management to ensure that the strategic technology plan is well funded. To provide funds are readily available, the organization needs to minimize non-essential spending to channel enough capital for the implementation of the project. 

Website Creation Process 

In the creation of the website, various roles need to be assigned to multiple personnel and experts (Williams, 2019). A project manager will be used to offer sound leadership and supervisory action to the team. The project manager will require all the support of the company stakeholders. Web developers and content editors are also part of the team. HTML/ CSS professionals are necessary for the creation of a complete website. For the aesthetic value of the website, web and graphic designers are also needed in the team of professionals. A content strategy is also developed to govern what is required for posting on the website (Williams, 2019). Amazon is currently the largest e-commerce company in the world and has based almost all its operations on online platforms. The website proposed for use by Motorola Solutions Inc. takes the form adopted by Amazon and borrows heavily from the impeccable features that are used by the online retailing giant. 

In conclusion, the use of a reliable website in the execution of marketing and other transactions by Motorola Solutions Inc. is essential in ensuring the company establishes a stable market position. The SWOT analysis provides needs assessment that allows the company to improve its status as a technology leader. Competitive strategies like online marketing and online advertisements are a necessity for the tech giant. It is also prudent for the company to ensure all the stakeholders are on board during the implementation of the website since this will go a long way in giving the best leadership to the team carrying out the strategic technology plan. A reliable website is necessary as it saves on time and the resources that would otherwise be used with the use of physical retail outlets alone.
