Efficient and effective communication is an integral part of every successful organization. In this regard, it is imperative that organizational leaders learn the art of successful communication and good communication strategies. A successful communication plan or strategy is instrumental in promoting the organization's main objectives and future strategies. Community programs have proven to be an integral part of society and have made numerous positive contributions to society. In addition, it is important that leaders in the community program come up with communication strategies of sharing information between employees, parents, and other stakeholders. Several methods are useful for communication, including memos, newsletters, briefings, and meetings.
Communication Strategy
Communication plays a critical role in the smooth running of a given organization or business. There is a need for leaders and managers to put in place a good communication plan to help steer the organization's vision and strategies (Radovic & Salamzadeh, 2018). In the case of my community program, I have a well laid down communication plan that I will use to communicate key information and how I will communicate in times of emergency. The organization will effectively use all available communication mediums to pass on key information to the target individuals. Memos and Newsletters will be sent to designated individuals through the recipients' emails. Newsletters and memos will mainly target the organization's employees, media, and investors among other relevant stakeholders. In addition to using newsletters and memos, the organization will conduct briefings and occasional meetings to convey and update the relevant players.

Several stakeholders including employees, parents, caregivers, community members, media and sponsors need to receive timely and constant information about the ongoings and activities of the community program. Indeed, employees are instrumental in the running of an organization’s activities and are responsible for running day to day business and processes. Therefore, it is critical that all employees stay up to date with all events happening within their respective organizations. Once individuals are thoroughly informed about the organization, they become productive and resourceful (Radovic & Salamzadeh, 2018). Various communication tools are useful for passing information from the management to the organization’s employees. Managers may employ memos to communicate with the company’s employees. Depending on their intention or purpose, memos can be hand-delivered or sent electronically to the recipients.
A memo is useful for communicating the organization's policies and stipulated procedures and other organizations official business. Another use of a memo is updating departmental teams on the activities of certain project undertakings. Another group of stakeholders that can receive communication through memos are parents. Indeed, parents play an important role in the success of a community program. Most of the community support programs involve families, and parents are at the helm of family leadership. Therefore, parents are key facilitators and mobilizers of community support project policies. Leaders and managers may communicate to parents through memos for briefings and other relevant information. The organization may also schedule occasional meetings where parents can participate in the development of new policies and procedures of running the community programs. The meetings may be held on schedule either quarterly or annually depending on the organization’s capacity.
Another category of important individuals and key stakeholders within the community program are caregivers and community members. Notably, caregivers are instrumental to community program by tending to the needs of those in need of their services. One effective way of passing communication to community caregivers is through memos and briefings. Memos are useful for communicating the organization's strategies and new policies. In order to maintain consistent communication, caregivers can receive occasional briefings about operational information. Nonetheless, it is imperative that caregivers stay up to date with the programs latest policies and all that is needed to successfully conduct a certain project. Community members are essential to the success of any community project. The success of a community program depends on the support of community members and, therefore, it is important that they understand the specifics of the program undertakings.
Community members can receive occasional briefings and attend scheduled meetings where they can learn about the project's progress and contribute new ideas which can be helpful to the success of the project. The media and community program sponsors or investors are another category of crucial stakeholders. The media plays a critical role by sensitizing the public about new projects in the community and their relevance to society at large (Patterson & Seib, 2005). Before the media shares information about a particular project undertaking, it is critical that they get reliable information. Continuous media briefings is a good strategy for promoting the organization’s policies and latest undertakings. The community program can schedule media briefings at the organizations offices to give reliable and latest information about upcoming projects and other relevant issues. Constant updates will ensure a seamless and constant flow of the latest information that may be of public interest. Investors and project sponsors can receive the organization's information through monthly, quarterly, or yearly newsletters.
Conclusion
Communication plays a central role in the running of an organization’s business activities. Business and organizational leaders should thus strive to effectively communicate the company’s policies and procedures to the relevant stakeholders. There are numerous tools and methods useful for making communication successful. Some of the notable ways for effective communication include memos, newsletters, briefings, and meetings. These tools are useful for communicating to stakeholders such as employees, parents, caregivers, and investors, among others.
