Course Vision
The course “Traumatic issues” purposes to creating a university/college-based friendly subject on mental health. It will be designed to equip learners with skills that they can employ in identification, management, and addressing of behaviors associated with the traumatic crisis.
Course Rationale
A close observation of world events, reveal that traumatic behaviors have been linked with situations such as; terrorism, physical pain, death of lover, war, and shift to a new location. Due to the large population of school staff to be addressed and the limitation of specialized educators on mental health, the proposed course will be online. The hope of offering this course is that an increased number of educators and staff will utilize the subject to self-equipment on trauma. The rationale of the course will be to equip learners with the necessary skills to respond to rising traumatic situations.
