First sermon

The sermon concerning how to give the Bible a functional authority based on the speech techniques and other writing formats talks about how we cannot provide the Bible an intrinsic authority since it has already received authority from God. Being His subjects, we are required to respect the Bible and accord it the needed obedience since it acts as a symbol of God’s power here on earth. God is the ultimate authority for us human beings and to the entire world since He made it during creation; hence He has complete ownership and control. God is omniscient; therefore, all-knowing of everything that occurs around thus hence he understands the context of the Bible perfectly. He exhibits his infinite worth of allegiance towards the heavenly message in the Bible, which is directed to human beings. In consideration of everything, God is the ultimate authority in the universe since most of His actions come from His efforts to enhance a better universe for all of us.

Even as He speaks, he exhibits some form of supreme authority over our lives as human beings, and the only place that proves His authority is in the Bible, where He states that God breathes all the Scriptures. Hence He is the source and originator of every message within reach of human beings. The factor proves that we cannot give the Bible intrinsic authority since it already has the power and authority from God. As human beings, we submit to its inherent jurisdiction by giving in to it and supporting the message being delivered. It grants us spiritual nourishment and satisfaction within our hearts because of the absolute authority that comes from God. We therefore speak and write under the primary authority of the Bible that typically comes from God.

Sermon two

The sermon on life together at the end of the age typically talks about the need to consider the end of times that will come once we get reunited to our Supreme Being. Even as Christ will one day return during the last hour, it is essential to be ready by living holy lives here on earth and ensure we follow all His commandments. It goes hand in hand with the approval of His mighty power, which makes us His subjects since he created us and brought us into this world. Therefore even as we yearn towards a life together at the end of the age, it is appropriate to love another and live together as we prepare for His return. We, therefore, need to confess all our desires to Jesus by considering His presence in our lives which is a source of the gift from God. The factor allows us to monitor our moves while on earth and necessitate activities that will enable us to see God’s kingdom during the end of times.

We, therefore, ought to love another and appreciate everyone’s presence in our lives since it acts as a way of enjoying God’s presence in our lives and His implicit creation. It enables us to love another and treat each other out of love since we treat them as our brothers and sisters here on earth. Even as God loved the world and gave us His only son so that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life, we should also practice the same as human beings and love one another. In God’s message, He says that we should love another just as we love ourselves; therefore, it should act as a building block for our spiritual nourishment. It enables us to have peace of mind and soul since we get to live in solid relationships with those around us even as we await the end of times.
