Evangelism Project 1: Visiting A Children’s Home
On my first evangelist project, the plan was to visit an orphanage that is near our home. The aim was to provide the home with non-food material that included clothes and playing material. The plan also included to interact and share the word of Christ with the guardians and children at the home. It was a plan that we had considered with three of my friends. For preparation, we embarked on collecting all the clothes and playing materials from people in the community that they did not need. I was chosen to share the world. We requested the management for a day that we would visit.
The visiting day, we shared with the children all the properties that people had given us. We shared a meal after and engaged in games. The children were excited to have visitors like us. The interaction brought us with how the word had become a cruel place as I learned that most of the people in the orphanage did not have anyone to call family. Most of the people had come to the orphanage while they were young and they were all grown up.
Delegate your assignment to our experts and they will do the rest.
The last bit of the visit was to congregate together and engage in praise and sharing the word. For those who were willing to take part in listening to the word, we engaged in s short praise song before I took the stage to give the world. The word I shared was from James 2:2-4, that says that we should not judge people by the way they look. As a society, we should love one another and treat each other fairly. People are not to be defined by their appearance because it creates a disparity in society. We should share, love and treat others the same way we should want them to treat us. Jesus did not come on earth to judge the good from the bad but to give each of us an opportunity to repent.
Evangelism Activity in My Neighborhood
On the second project, the aim was to reach the people in the society who had not experienced Jesus in their life. The aim was to share the word with these individuals. I undertook the project with one of my friends and we named the project door to door evangelism for the less privileged in the neighborhood. The aim was to identify two or three people that seemed unfortunate in our neighborhood and bless them with basic needs such as food and clothes and share the word of God.
We identified one of our neighbors who was a drunkard and unemployed and another one that lived by the corner of our block. For the two we took clothes and food for them. While it was easy to accept the material we presented to them, the drunkard neighbor refused to listen to us when it came to the sharing of the word. The homeless man by the corned however was willing to engage with us.
We shared the words by Jesus Christ on John 16:33. Jesus says that we will have troubles on this earth but in Him, we may have peace. James 1: 2-3 says that we should be happy when we face challenges because it was a test of faith that produces perseverance. The man was eager to know why we were serving him yet he had lived homeless for almost two years in our neighborhood. As a disciple of Christ, I responded by saying that Jesus was my example. He died for my sin yet I was a sinner. All I had to do was believe in Him and repent my sin and surrender unto ourselves unto Him as our Lord. The man said that our love was exceptional and he wanted to Know Christ.
