Introduction
Attention Getter:
Last week I was taking a morning walk down Sameer Park and everything else was okay except the morning temperature, which was much higher for an ordinary spring morning in this side of the globe.
Thesis Statement:
Global warming is every scientist’s concern today as it has become one of the most important scientific concerns of the 21 st century, since the world is getting industrialized at a rather quick pace, which accounts for the increasing volumes of greenhouse gases into the earth’s atmosphere.
Delegate your assignment to our experts and they will do the rest.
Relevance Statement:
Understanding global warming in terms of its causes and the highly detrimental impacts it has on the environment will equip each of us with the prior knowledge we need to stop unnecessary environmental pollutions that add more toxic gases into our one healthy atmosphere.
Credibility:
Many atmospheric and global warming studies and experiments pioneered by NASA have revealed that the plane earth is warming up steadily due to the high amount of greenhouse gases trapped in our atmosphere, which accumulates the sun’s heat and causes high temperatures within the globe. Additionally, recent studies have shown that the earth’s ozone layer is badly damaged by harmful greenhouse gases, which has almost rendered it ineffective in shielding us from harmful radiations and cosmic rays from the outer space.

The main points that I will cover today include the following
Common causes of global warming
Harmful effects of global warming
Remedies to global warming
Now that we have got a grasp of what we are going to discuss, let us get started by exploring some of the common causes of global warming.
Body
I. Common causes of global warming
A. Global warming is caused by excessive emission of greenhouse gases intruded into the earth’s atmosphere, where these gases accumulate in the outer atmosphere and form a blanket of greenhouse gases that prevent sun’s radiations from escaping from the earth’s atmosphere.
1. Greenhouse gases include all gases that are emitted from industrial processes where manufacturing industries release large quantities of greenhouse gases as by products.
Carbon (IV) oxide and nitrogen (IV) oxide are greenhouse gases produced by the energy sector factories, and their accumulation causes an artificial blanket of gases in the earth atmosphere (Al‐Ghussain 2019).
2. The emitted greenhouse gases alongside other pollutants absorb not only sunlight but also the solar radiations that have been reflected from the earth’s surface through terrestrial radiations.
B. Burning of fossil fuels such as coal, and oil to generate electricity used to power homes, industrial processes and transportation also liberates carbon dioxide and other pollutants that are not friendly to earth’s atmosphere.
Carbon dioxide and other ozone gases destroy the protective ozone layer making it porous hence it admits excessive sun light alongside other cosmic rays from the outer space which increases the temperature of the upper atmosphere and eventually lead to global warming (Bartosiewicz et al 2015).
Global warming results to high global temperature which may initiate climate change and lead to desertification.
C. Deforestation and unnecessary clearing of trees and other vegetation results to global warming as plants are natural carbon dioxide sinks.
1. Plants absorb carbon dioxide hence clearing of trees reduce the effective surface area for absorption of the greenhouse gases, hence with lesser plant cover there is accumulation of carbon dioxide which traps sun energy hence increasing the earth temperatures and eventually causing global warming.
Now that we are aware of the causes of global warming, let us focus on some of the harmful effects of global warming.
II. Harmful effects of global warming
Global warming has led to adverse weather conditions.
Heat waves occur as a result of extreme day and night temperatures caused by global warming, where the warm climate modifies the atmosphere to retain more temperature.
Storms and floods occur when polar icecaps melt due to the increased temperature hence raising both the river and ocean levels leading to flooding.
When destructive flooding occur in relatively flat areas, a lot of damage occur and there is loss in property and lives.
High death rates due to skin cancer is also another harmful effect of global warming.
As temperature rises in the process of global warming, chances of getting sick also rise especially in tropical countries where high temperature favor the development of some disease vectors.
Disease vectors such as mosquitoes thrive well in warm temperature, hence in the event of global warming, the spread of malaria increases.
2. Extreme temperature may cause skin cancer as it affects the skin’s cells hence impairing the intake of vitamin D from the sun.
High wildlife extension rates has resulted from global warming as land and sea temperature change rapidly (Screen et al 2018).
When animals do not quickly adapt in an environment that is rapidly changing in terms of temperature, many of them perish or become extinct.
To reinforce the above discussion, let us switch gears and talk about some of the known remedies to global warming.
III. Remedies to global warming
A. Using renewable sources of energy like solar and wind power to reduce dependence on non-renewable electricity.
1. Many sources of non-renewable electricity such as nuclear energy and coal causes carbon emission which contributes to global warming.
B. Reducing water wastage as it effectively reduce carbon pollution which means the more we use water economically, the more we are minimizing the amount of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere (Change 2018).
1. A lot of energy is required to pump, treat and heat water, which means that more pumping will result to increased carbon dioxide quantities in the atmosphere hence global warming will occur.
Taking shorter showers and turning off water taps when not in use and fixing faulty piping systems might help conserve water and reduce global warming.
The three aspects of global warming discussed above have revealed the causes of global warming, its effects and possible mitigations to remedy global warming.
Conclusion
Repeat/Reiterate Thesis:
Global warming is every scientist’s concern today as it has become one of the most important scientific concerns of the 21st century, since the world is getting industrialized at a rather quick pace, which accounts for the increasing volumes of greenhouse gases into the earth’s atmosphere.
Review Main Points:
From the above discussion, we have discussed the following aspects of global warming
• Common causes of global warming
• Harmful effects of global warming
• Remedies to global warming
Closing Remarks:
Global warming is everyone’s concern in the world, hence its mitigation calls for a multi-national cooperation which will ensure that policies are implemented to regulate industrialization hence minimizing the amount of greenhouse gases in the earth’s atmosphere.
