The role of Jobs at the company was to meet with teams of people and focus on solving problems across all aspects of the company. These include the design sector and the marketing department ( Chien, 2015) . The company is structured in the form of a startup where there is a person who is responsible for each department. For example, the company has one person who heads the operating system department, one person in charge of the marketing department, and one person in charge of the hardware aspects of the company (Ragni, 2010).
As a leader, Jobs has many functions aimed at ensuring that the company succeeds. For example, he is responsible for the assigning of tasks to different teams. One of the strengths of the company is that there is teamwork amongst all the teams, which ensures the effective subdivision of tasks. In most cases, the top management in the company has to ensure that they encourage a culture of teamwork in the organization right from the top ( Chien, 2015). As Jobs explained, the teamwork should trickle down to the last employee in the company.
Delegate your assignment to our experts and they will do the rest.
Lastly, Jobs plays the role of solving different issues facing teams on a daily basis. He is instrumental in fostering collaboration among team members enabling them to solve various problems that affect the company in different departments ( Cameron & Green, 2015) . This is one of the characteristics of a transformational leader. In most cases, leaders have to be engaged in the actual solving of problems as a way of motivating the employees. The third function revolves around managing employees and ensuring that they are satisfied with their jobs. Job satisfaction increases the retention rates in a company (Ragni, 2010). As pointed out by Jobs, the only way that a company can be able to attract and retain competent employees is by giving them the chance to make decisions.
