The self-evaluation on cultural competencies is designed around establishing personal awareness from a culturally and linguistically diverse populations. The focus of the test is centered on how we view and treat persons from different cultures. The evaluation outcomes depicted that my interaction and relation with the different cultures were slightly below average. As surprising as the results were, to some extent they depicted my real perspective towards cultural integration and assimilation. My stand on emerging cultural aspects of the society today GLBTQ (Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender, or Questioning) may have significantly contributed to the failure in this cultural competencies checklist. It evaluates cultural competencies based on all the different angles of American cultures both traditional and contemporary emergent cultures. Most of the new cultures have practices that do not stand for the moral standards are not in line with my personal, cultural beliefs.
The most intriguing aspect of the performance is based on the fact that it represents nearly all the cultures that exist in the contemporary society today. With a basis in the United States, despite the dominance of English as the basic language, the evaluation identifies the roles of all the other less dominant languages, especially the traditional and the foreign languages. Not only does it identifies the existence of all the cultures, but it also evaluates on the responses based on the treatments delivered to the individuals that belong to a culture in a work setting. All these aspects of the test confirm that authentic nature of the self-evaluation, it is this basis that attests my displeasure in the outcomes of the test. My expectation was that over the years I had developed a general acceptance and integration of most of the American cultures and what they stand for. The few that seemed insignificant, how the rest of the society treats them to signify a good percentage of the general cultural competencies we develop over time.

To remedy my cultural competencies for the better, I have to change completely my perception toward culture its self. As the first step, I have to separate culture from people. This way all the cultural attributes that define a culture are not used to judge or define a person. An individual, on the other hand, is treated for what he stands for, believes and moral standards. This way it will be easy to create an individual profile for each personality and not judge them by their cultural background. In the end, I will develop an inimitable way of integrating all the cultures without favoritisms. In the end uplifting my perspective on cultural competencies. Also, this approach will facilitate evaluation of individuals based on their capabilities; this was they would fit into any professional discipline regardless of their cultural affiliations.
Owed to the fact that, the evaluation covers nearly all the influences that culture can impact on an individual.
