Globalization refers to the interdependence of cultures, economies, and populations across the world that are brought about by cross-border trade in goods and services investment options, technology, information, and people (Mir et al., 2014) . Characteristics of a group of people including their religion, language, and social habit collectively form a culture. From this definition, we derive the importance of effective communication as an essential tool for business success.

Internationally, communication barriers exist, with English as a common language that cuts across many nations, how one conveys a message is the most important. Cultural differences should be faced with sensitivity, brevity, sensitivity, curiosity, and openness to easing understanding (Osifo & Eromosele, 2011) . Business/ workplace etiquette varies across organizations in terms of the formality of address in dealing with international partners, the difference in punctuality aspects that differ amongst nation’s variance in organizational hierarchy and attitudes towards management roles also varies from nation to nation.

The potential of business growth with well-thought-out ideologies, quality products, and service provision as well as meeting the needs of the global competitive market are worth great investment.

In conclusion, organizations should try to mitigate cultural factors existent in global business operations to ensure the success of their engagements. It can be done by extensive research on different nationalities', their cultural diversities, and their expected attitudes and etiquette levels while engaging them in business. Representatives of an entity in any global venture should have full knowledge of the same and purpose to deliver as expected.
