Mental health practices course has enabled me to understand the mental recovery procedure. The knowledge helps in the revolution of mental health systems. As human systems do not transform quickly, the study identifies abuses in the recovery system (Slade, 2014). For instance, the recovery of patients is enhanced through efficient treatment. The recovery process should involve getting people to become moral and independent. The information also enables the student to understand that the patient’s contribution is maximized when they recover. The study acquaints the learner with skills that support recovery. They include targeting the recovery procedure to connectedness, hope, identity, meaning, and empowerment through the CHIME framework. It gives the apprentice expertise on interpositions on wellness recovery action planning and disorder management. A study on mental health premises is essential for psychology professionals. It gives the learner understand the scope of the health institution about their practice. One can discern the mental health facility that suits them depending on their needs. Some of these facilities focus on short-term or long-term needs. The mental health premise can involve outpatient treatment where the patient may visit the facility and get treatment. To deal with mental illnesses in this facility, the practitioner can use individual therapy or group therapy (Tracy, 2015). The approach accommodates patients who have stabilized mental conditions. There are also distinct inpatient units where mental health emergencies are controlled. In this facility, the mental state is maintained, and the patient’s stay is usually short. The facilities that incorporate long-term stay include residential mental health accommodations. It entails horsy treatment, exercise, therapy, and psychotropic medication. In an attempt to treat mental illnesses, there are psychiatric hospitals that are dedicated to only psychological sicknesses. They deal with emergency and non-emergency conditions. Additionally, some premises belong to the United States Department of Veteran’s affairs that treat posttraumatic stress disorders, suicidal ideation, and substance use disorders. The knowledge and skills gripped enable the student to become a psychology professional who is aware and can apply the skills to refer patients to a particular premise regarding their assessed condition.

In the study of psychology, data analysis proofs to be a challenging course. It requires conducting a lot of research and data mining, which is time-consuming. As one performs data analysis, they have to countercheck the raw data and make sure it does not contain information that may identify individual participant (Price, Jhangiani, & Chiang, 2015). Proofreading the data is challenging because one has to make sure it is wholly and accurately recorded. At this stage, the researcher corrects all the missing responses and discerns the ineligible. It drains one's energy as they go through the data to ascertain every detail is in order. Sometimes one has to make decisions on whether some data provided is usable. It also strains one as they analyze each crucial variable separately. Making visual representations of data in readable formats may be a challengeable task. This is because the description has to be as accurate as possible while being still comprehensive. Another factor is the scalability as volumes of data continue to increase. It takes time to conduct multiple layers between front-end and database. The overall challenge in data analysis is the time spent.

In conclusion, the study of psychology discipline is essential to the medical field and the professional. All one gains this knowledge they can contribute positively to handling mental problems. Additionally, the research conducted enables people to learn from it. Moreover, the discipline of psychology operates in a multidiscipline angle, as the trained individuals can be absorbed in different capacities.
