The mindset of every human being plays a crucial role in determining how much they progress in life. A child mind is influenced by the surrounding within which they are brought in. These surroundings most definitely affects their perspectives and mindsets in life. Aker (2016) in her article shows the value of how talking to children about designing their extent in the path of success can be achieved. The ideology is practical, accessible and relatable though unfortunately, it remains unknown.

Perspective on motivation in humans determines the mindset. How advancing a child is determined by the attitude instilled through how those surrounding them talk to them. The phrasing of words and the words used when talking to children introduces a perspective on how things are supposed to be on a child. Hence, forming the basis of their mindset. The base of the mindset then becomes the guiding point for all future situations (Aker, 2016). Children are more likely to develop either the fixed mindset or the growth mindset from how they praised for their little accomplishments. The intent is to commend a child overtly for the process of learning instead of praising their intelligence.

A fixed mindset and a growth mindset play a vital role eventually in the path a child takes towards success. Children with fixed and growth mindsets have different goals in the success course and have different perspectives on how to achieve these goals. For instance, kids with fixed mindsets aim to look smarts in every task they undertake avoiding any display of deficiency. However, children with a growth mentality believe the intelligence is to be learned and will therefore always seek to learn (Aker, 2016). Evidently, the different mindsets bring about a difference in perception which translates to varying paths of success.

In conclusion, the growth mindset kids are more likely to become more successful since they put more importance on the process rather than the outcome. Therefore, parents and guardians need to put more thought and effort in developing a growth mindset in their children from a young age. The growth mindset will then set them on a path to become more successful by giving value to the process of learning.
