There is no better way for self-fulfillment than to have a career that enables one to impact the community in which they live positively. A career as school psychology gives me the impetus to work with young children and teenagers battling various psychological issues. We live in a difficult world and without professionals with the ability to restore psychological wellbeing among children; then we are headed in the wrong direction as a generation. I have chosen this career because it will allow me to work with children and identify common psychological problems such as depression, anxiety, and other stress-related issues that could affect their education and social relationships.
In preparation for this career, I have already acquired an undergraduate degree in communicative sciences, disorders, and social work. The degree will be complementary as it allows me to understand better and communicate problems and their solutions. Most importantly, it gives me the advantage because I have the much-required experience to work with the children. I have also built my experience by working in the school system as a speech-language pathologist for two years. I am also aware of all the codes of ethics that educators have to abide by while working. In further building my competencies, I am familiar with all the RTI and MTSS processes required while working with children.
Delegate your assignment to our experts and they will do the rest.
The personal qualities that leverage my ability to work as a school psychologist include dependability, hardworking, patience, caring, and problem-solving. I am mindful of the fact that childhood is a sensitive age, and as such, they should be handled with caution as any decision taken could easily make or break them. Lastly, I am very passionate about learning and helping others communicate and better their lives. Working with the children will, therefore, provide me with this platform.
