A nurse practitioner (NP) is a professional who provides basic and unique health care. They evaluate and diagnose patients, perform lab tests, prescribe medicine to the patients, and control the health conditions. Also, they engage in activities like promoting people’s health and preventing diseases (O*NET Online, 2020) . The NPs need to understand how to diagnose diseases, conducting treatments, and providing evidence-based health to their patient's health conditions. They should be able to evaluate their patients’ medical histories, conducting evaluations, and carrying out diagnostic tests, such as laboratory work and X-rays. Also, they act as the main care providers in controlling the overall patient’s health. They ensure safe and efficient health care for their patients (Cafiero, 2013) . NPs should have special training and skills, be certified, and have the relevant master's degrees in nursing at valid institutions. In addition, their profession requires them to have certain technical skills such as the ability to use medical software like Epic systems and other programs like spreadsheets and electronic mails. The job description includes their main duties like analyzing patients’ history, medical prescription, and recommending diagnosis. Also, it involves main skills and abilities like active listening and learning, understanding information and ideologies, and using rules to solve certain problems and generate appropriate answers. 

The nursing environment includes health clinics, departments, care agencies, and homes. It affects their ability to carry out their jobs effectively and efficiently. A good environment enhances job satisfaction and reducing their turnover (Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, 2014) . The NPs provide care in health organizations, and their context involves understanding the internal and external impacts on health care. Some of the policies involve health policies and national structures. The NPs main job elements have been described and include: to evaluate, interpret, and diagnosing. Also, they are consistent with providing basic and acute care to their patients. The NP job description in line with the elements of performance to quality health care. The job applicants for the NP position can easily understand their expectations through the descriptions. It provides the core functions required by the positions, knowledge, skills, abilities, and a detailed work context and analysis.
