Differences exist between healthy and cancer cells. On cell death or repair, healthy cells either die or are repaired when they get old or are damaged whereas cancer cells neither undergo apoptosis nor get repaired. Also, when viewed under a microscope, cancer cells and healthy cells are different from cancer cells exhibiting more size viability with some smaller or bigger than healthy cells while at the same time having an abnormal shape.
