The Quadruple Aim focuses on upgrading and advancing the health care system by improving patient care experience, reducing per capita cost of healthcare, and improving population health (Sikka, Morath, & Leape, 2015). The objective is for the Quadruple Aim to manage the restructuring of healthcare systems, and transform into population health. The project has been embraced as a set of healthcare principles for many organizations globally. EBP on the other hand incorporates research evidence from clinical expertise, and patient preferences and values. Like the quadruple aim, EBP's focus is to ensure proper patient care by providing research on patient treatment and diagnosis.

EBP targets and impacts the Quadruple Aim by ensuring health providers pay more attention to the evidence provided to make informed decisions concerning patient care and health ( Crabtree, Brennan, Davis, & Coyle, 2016). Research proves that patients who receive evidence-based care display a great improvement in their health conditions, consequently achieving one of the Quadruple Aims. Evidence-based Practice expands and improves the quality of healthcare and safety. This helps achieve the health population aim whereby healthcare givers use evidence-based research to discover conditions such as obesity that affect a specific population.

It also helps to reduce costs and allows healthcare providers to be openly engaged and excited to work every day. Patients often incur huge expenses if quality services are not administered to them, which lead to readmissions. The readmissions, in turn, affect the healthcare facilities. EBP plays a huge role in altering this problem. Another focus of evidence-based practice is to do away with untenable practices to create way more productive ones. The Evidence-based Practice works together with the Quadruple Aim to ensure, safety, Patient-centeredness, effectiveness, equity, timeliness, and efficiency.
