One of the significant challenges facing humanity is the climate change, which has serious implications, which could be social, economic, political, environmental, and for the distribution of goods. One of the most worrisome and less studied aspects is the implication of climate change in the distribution of products. Climate change affects the stability, availability, exchange, and distribution of food. Food security is vulnerable to climate change because of glaciers disappearing causing floods and droughts. This in turn adversely affects production of food especially in the developing countries. Significant crops such as wheat and rice have been adversely affected over the past years with the changes in temperatures. Whether low or high temperatures occur during climatic changes, the effects could be positive to one crop but not the other. The unreliability affects food security since production will be minimal and there will be less supply of commodities to reach the targeted consumers.

Climate change not only affects the related aspects of production, which include distribution, access, utilization, and storage. Climate change has led to floods making some regions impassable hence inadequate or no goods distribution to the target place. The rapid changes in climate put at risk the availability of water and the security of food. Increased rainfall and altered weather patterns result in heavy rain that causes floods. When floods and hurricanes wreak havoc globally, they destroy all the channels of distribution to individual homes. Most affected are usually roads, rails and sometimes flight cancellation. Without these modes of transportation, the delivery of products to everyone in need is impossible. Climate Changes in climate have also affected the distribution of water. Areas such as central and western Africa do not have enough water. On the contrary, other countries will receive more rain. Climate change endangers regions differently making distribution a factor to always consider when implementing changes.
