As a person and a professional, my personal code of ethics plays a significant role of outlining the principles which govern my decision-making process as well as the manner in which I behave. Integrity, objectivity, and social responsibility are the bottom-line principles that I adhere to at all times. In this statement, I expound on them with the aim of showcasing why they are relevant and how they influence my actions.

Integrity, to begin with, refers to honesty at all levels. In my day to day endeavors, I aspire to be sincere in the activities I am carrying out. It applies to the physical undertakings as well as the emotional perspective of my reasoning. Thus, my decision-making process is greatly influenced by this principle. Being trustworthy is important to me since it builds honorable relationships and at the same time I can go about my actions with nobility and a clear conscious. One of the biggest challenges that relates to this issue is conflict of interest which at times might put me in a compromising situation ( Bailey, 2018). Additionally, an organizational goal such as obtaining an operational advantage over rivals is a dynamic that could impact the same issue.

Objectivity is the second ethical belief that embodies my personal code of ethics. It refers to the ability to be focused and avoid bias as well as negative influence from others. As much as input from external parties and outside sources is useful, it can at times allow bias and conflict of interest which I aim to avoid in my regular tasks as a persona and a professional. Objectivity is important as it ensures that the decision-making process is not influenced by undue influence. Moreover, I can easily avoid bias with the principle. Challenges to the principle include working with a team that does not have strong moral standards which could jeopardize my level of objectivity. Uncertainty is another challenge that relates to it. On the same note, an organization that does not have a culture based on strong moral standards could limit my personal code of ethics relating to this dynamic.

Social responsibility is the last ethical dynamic that makes up my personal code of ethics. It refers to the ability to ethical framework that creates the obligation to undertake initiatives that benefit the society ( Ferrell, 2016). The relevance of this issue comes about in that it allows all aspects of the community to benefit from my responsibilities as a person and a professional. One challenge relating to social responsibility is insufficient funds which might limit my ability to act in a manner that would benefit the immediate community. Organizational dynamics could affect how one embodies this issue as an engaging staff could work alongside me to meet objectives that enhance societal well-being.

In conclusion, I plan to incorporate these three principles into my personal life and professional life. They will be applicable in the sense that they enhance my decision-making process while at the same time informing and guiding my actions.
