Body
Major aspects of industrialization between 1865 to 1920
big multinational companies, several factories were opened during this period, the use of machinery increased, this lead to the mass production of products, a lot of organizations merged and became one leading to the formation of monopolies (Cobb, 2014) .
I n this period there was the use of Laissez-faire policy by the government in regards to the economy (In Greif, 2015) . The government had little interference or involvement in businesses decision-making process. During that time period, the free enterprise system was taking place the forces of supply and demand determined the prices of products.
A vailability of labor was another aspect of industrialization in this time period . The United States was flooded with immigrants from a lot of countries all looking for work in order to make a living. There was also a lot of rural to urban migration ; this changed a lot of things, society was the most affected since these people came with different cultures and they had to live together and forge a way of living together in peace (Blair, 2013) .
Groups that were affected by industrialization .
During the industrial period, the demand for raw products and labor was very high , women and children were allowed to join the labor force the problem is that the pay was very little and the working hours were long. Many of this workers faced poor working conditions, little to no benefits at all and hazardous work conditions .
T he middle class was mostly composed of businessmen and few professionals. The more the industrialization developed, the more powerful the middle class became. People started creating schools since the needs for education had increased. The middle class had better access to all amenities which lead to a high life expectancy among these group.
In comparison to the upper and middle classes, the working class was not well off. Most of the working class was replaced with machines in factories ; the average adult worker worked for seven days a week for more than y7 hours a day (Cobb, 2014) . Most of the working class included children as young as 15 and minority groups like the African Americans.
Children and minority men were not paid as well as the majority men. The housing sector was also not desirable for the working class members there was a lot of overcrowding. Another problem that faced these people is that faced these people was that they were not allowed to voted and therefore could do nothing to improve their working conditions.
Ways in which industrialization affected the average working American.
One of the problems that affected the working class is that there was a lot of wealth, but only a few people at the top had access to the wealth.
The formation of social classes became a big issue; this divided the American people violating the basic principles of the United States.
The increase in the use of machinery in industries leads to loss of status of workers (Cobb, 2014) . The line of production was decreased leading to the retrenchment of workers.
Before the industrialization workers were paid fairly depending on the quality of their work and their products . in industrial times most workers were not skilled because of the immigration, and the workers were now being paid by the hour.
Most of the working class people lived from hand to mouth, they found it had to make ends meet, however, the overall wages did increase in some industries, but the cost of leaving also increased (Cobb, 2014) .
