From my observations and understanding, the main challenge in keeping the baby squirrel alive in its earlier days is providing a warm environment to develop its fur. Feeding is also another challenge for maintaining warm body temperatures for survival. The boys are not entirely equipped to properly take care of the animal while observing all the protocols.

A2

Upon further research, there was a recommendation to use a water bottle, a small soda bottle filled with hot water, and placing it near the baby squirrel while minding the bottle not roll over and suffocate the squirrel. Mixing a warm homemade Pedialyte and hand-feeding the squirrel a drop at a time on its tongue and not letting the animal latch on to the syringe prevents it from choking. Therefore, my last recommendation would be taking the baby squirrel to a licensed wildlife rehabilitator for further care and hand-feeding of the animal to maintain the optimum warmth.

The short video indicates the unattainable beauty standards that have been set for young girls and women in general. Beauty companies are at the forefront of spreading this message to the young girl who looks at the media and regards themselves as inadequate. Furthermore, these companies sell a narrative and set the standard that all women need to starve themselves to be skinny to look and feel beautiful. The other advertised aspect is those big girls are not beautiful due to their bigger physic.

Finally, with the many media outlets that advertise to young girls, the necessity to undergo surgery to make themselves look more attractive. It is an evil and dangerous culture that has led many young women to reach out to quack doctors to perform these procedures and become botched while others have died from illegal plastic surgeries.

Response to Kylee Hill and Morgan McKibben

Hello, Kylee and Morgan, I concur with both of you on the need to keep the baby squirrel warm, and the unrealistic beauty pressures set out for young girls.

From the description, I deemed the boys to be unfit 'parents' for the baby squirrel due to the central obstacle brought by lack of sufficient knowledge on keeping the baby squirrel warm. They lacked the know-how, food, and equipment to feed the animal, as well as technical skills, to keep the baby squirrel alive until its fur grows. The other issue is that squirrels do not make good pets.

A2

To ensure the squirrel's survival, proper feeding, warmth, and proper handling is required at all times. My recommendation is always to have warm water near the baby squirrel's nest and proper feeding using the syringe. Moreover, the feed should contain either homemade Pedialyte or milk replacer in the form or Esbilac Puppy Milk. A licensed wildlife rehabilitator is equipped with this information and knows when to feed and change the water to maintain the proper temperature until it grows its fur.

This video enlightens parents with young daughters to guide the young women on the information they are being bombarded with, creating beauty pressure. And so it is left to the parents to control the content their children are accessing to avoid the pressures of TV, print, and outdoor advertisements for weight loss, exercise regimes, skin lightening procedures, and plastic surgery. My recommendations would be to talk to young women to empower and educate them about the dangers of engaging in activities that tamper with their self-esteem and self-worth. Patents need to enforce that God beautifully and wonderfully created us, and there is no need to conform to the advertised beauty standards.

In conclusion, my understanding of the video's message was to teach and guide young girls not to subscribe to unrealistic beauty standards. Instead, they should seek to build their self-esteem before the ruthless media knocks it down and brainwashes them to think less of themselves.
