Subject: Solving Ethical Problems

Ethical agility and maturity require an individual first to assess their ethical lenses. An ethical analysis will, therefore, require an individual to begin from their home lenses. Ethical lenses and perspectives are essential in guiding an individual to make ethical and sound decisions. On the other hand, the ethical path is used when an individual aims at becoming ethical mature and aware. It is normally referred to as the ‘'path of the hero.'' The ethical goals which are also referred to as ideal goals help an individual to identify the type of a person they want to be.

In understanding oneself, it is crucial to determine the vantage point which is perspective one takes to identify the behaviors that best reflect their values. When resolving an ethical problem, many theories will invite an individual to assume a role known as the ethical self. In the position of an ethical self, one is expected to show specific goals and desires. One also must consider their place in the community, any available opportunities, and both short and long-term goals that will be instrumental in defining their path going forward. All this will ensure that a person identifies their classical virtue which, according to Greek philosophers, is the most appropriate to embody.

It is also important for people to notice that deciding on what is ethical is about evaluating the most appropriate method of defining behaviors and actions that are ethical. It involves choosing actions that lead to desirable results for the individuals, creating opportunities for many people, and serving the greater good all of which will result in peace and satisfaction for many people. Solving ethical dilemmas will require one to employ the best ethical task available. People must also devise the best analytical tool that they will use in solving their ethical dilemmas.
