The simulations were useful in demonstrating the concepts on the use of power. In international relations, countries employ some form of corporation for a common goal. However, international relations consist of countries with different powers with regards to the economy and military strength. Such countries with an edge of power normally have their way through, and their opinions in most cases are regarded highly. The nature of the simulation game is to compete and win. The competitive nature of the game is an embodiment of the importance of power in international relations with as far as policy making is concerned. 

Also, the nature of the simulation is based on the ability to subdue the opponent and acquire victory. In the real life scenario, countries normally use their power guaranteed by both economic and political prowess to have policies that favor their interests. Such countries do this to the detriment of those with little power. Therefore, this sometimes is a major source of conflicts between countries leading to poor international relations.

The simulations move very quickly, and therefore the player needs to work at a very fast rate. With regards to international relations, it depicts the competitive nature of the economic market also highlighting the importance of prompt action by a country in taking advantage of opportunities across the globe. The speed at which nations act in succeeding in matters of international relation depends on their global influence, which is an aspect of power. 

Finally, the rules and regulations of the games are also important in highlighting the diplomatic methods that are used in international relations. In such global organizations, countries must adhere to specific rules to ensure efficiency in the corporation, discipline in adherence to policy, and the prevention of incidences of foul play. The rules are also important in cases of disputes as they would be used as grounds for arbitration.
