2. Possible questions during interview  1. Have you thoroughly read the information about this position and are you well familiarized with it?  Yes I have and it appears very interesting to me. 
  2. What was your area of study in school?  I studied nursing 
  3. That’s good. Now, tell me about your last job and the roles played?  My last job involved working as a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) working under a Registered Nurse in a health care facility. My roles included maintenance of accurate and comprehensive health care records of the facility and administration of medicine to patients. In addition, I was also involved in making observations on patients for any possible response to side effects after giving medicine. Furthermore, I was involved in recording of patients’ vital signs, managing of chronic illnesses, assistive medical devices, and health information.

Can describe your biggest strengths?  My biggest strengths are communication and people skills which enable me effectively communicate and interact with my patients as well as coordinate and collaborate with my colleagues. This strength helps me a lot in handling conflicts and manage circumstances that re difficult or challenging in case they arise. In addition, I have possessed empathy and I am compassionate to other people which enables me show care and understanding to my patients. I am flexible hence I manage to work outside my schedule such as overtime if need be in order to meet the needs of my patients. 
  5. What is your biggest weakness?  My main weakness is finding myself immersed in my duties to an extent that I sometimes lose track of time. I have previously found myself working not realizing that my shift is done and I had to hand over to someone else whom I had kept waiting. I understand that I should be more time conscious and this is something that I am really working on in order to avoid collision with colleagues and ensure smooth flow of work. I love my work and I think this is the reason I find myself in such kind of situations. I also do not quit in an easy manner and I think this is also a weakness for me. 
3. Closing interview  1. Why are u interested in this role?  I’m interested in this position because I want to work as a Registered Nurse and nursing is my passion. 
  2. Why do you think you are best suited for this position?  I possess the excellent abilities, skills, and knowledge need needed for the position and I am ready to continue learning.

Areas for Improving Interview Technique 
1. Dress 

Dress in a conservative way when attending a job interview. Regardless of the type of job, dressing in a modest way and avoiding exaggerated clothing is essential. Dressing modestly shows that one is respectful towards the organization that one is seeking employment in ( Clothing etiquette / Dress code, n.d. ). Dressing in a conservative way shows the potential employer that you respect them and the working environment (Mitchell, n.d.). Wearing a skirt that is neither too short nor too long, a modest trouser that is not tight for men indicate a conservative way of dressing.

A professional dress code is also appropriate for an interview (Mitchell, n.d.). It creates a first impression that lasts forever. The first impression matters a lot in an interview and it tells the potential employer a lot about the interviewee. An interviewee should wear something that looks good on him or her. Coordinating a light colored shirt or blouse with a dark colored trouser or skirt that is appropriately fitting gives a professional look.

Shoes should be well polished and of an appropriate color that indicate professionalism. It would appear more professional to wear a well-polished shoes for an interview compared to wearing white or red shoes. In addition, one should avoid shoes that make noise while walking (Mitchell, n.d.).

Hair should be neatly combed and well groomed for both men and women when preparing for an interview. 
It is appropriate to wear perfume for an interview. However, it should be mild and good smelling. 
2. Manners 
Sit up straight. When in an interview, an interviewee should sit up straight and plant the feet in a firm way on the ground (Mitchell, n.d.). 
Smile 
Maintain eye contact with the interviewer 
Avoid a relaxed pose. Many people tend to think that a relaxed pose shows that one is confidence. On the contrary it indicates that one is either lacking in respect, interest or both. An interviewee should avoid placing both hands on the laps beneath the table. One should rest the arm on the chair’s arm or on top of the table. 
Master the art of meet and greet. Stand for a handshake and learn how to shake hands. A good handshake begins with ensuring that the hand is parallel to the floor and thumb facing the ceiling. Ensure that the space between your thumb and that of the interviewer and both index fingers come into contact them wrap the thumb and interviewer’s hand and shake in an assertive way (Mitchell, n.d.). 
3. Verbal communication (what you say and how you say it; what you will avoid and why) 
In an interview, polite words should be used. One should avoid jokes as they indicate lack of seriousness, and respect towards the potential employer. The choice of words used is important in an interview. In addition, one should only provide responses for what is asked ensuring that you stick within the scope of the question asked by the interviewer.
