Universal statement of human rights – Article 5- manifest indicates that "No one shall be subjected to torture or cruel, inhuman or degrading treatment or punishment." This article is critical in the current world where not only adult's faces injustices, mishandling and unnecessary torture, it is also essential to the children since the contemporary world is callous to the children. In the current error, many reports come from every corner of the world which indicates the police brutality, massacre of the innocent people, torture when the government is need of information held by many individual others. This is the issues which the article -5 is fighting to eliminate. It is an indeed unethical concern for anybody. The government included forcing information off from any person through the use of torture, punishments or cruelty. Unfortunately, this is what has been happening; not only to the adults but also the children sometimes feel this pressure. This, therefore, calls for further research to ensure that more documents are available which clarify this act for people to be aware of this right which is granted to them internationally. The article, therefore, aims at bringing to light how the section 5 on the Universal statement of human rights relates to the children in the current society.

This article summarizes and also discusses the Universal statement of human rights article 5. The paper summarizes this statement and gives a brief overview on which areas this law works and should be applied. This article presents a summary of the behaviors which many people take that are of section 5 or the universal statements on the human rights. The primary focus of this article is brought to light how many people are tortured and manhandled to either provide information or as slaves of others. Furthermore, the articles have brought to light statistics which shows both on children and adults on how people are prominent harassed by many bodies, mostly the prison bodies in different parts of the world. In the list which is published in this article; then it is clear that nearly 24% of children, mostly, those whose families are no longer together or those who have lost their parents face punishments, touches, both physically and mentally and all kind of harassments mostly from their caretakers. The article also documents that all prisoners in most of the person in all corners of the world, almost 60% of them faces harassment, torture and punishment of all kind. This article is critical in regards to the thesis of this paper. The article has given us a rough estimate and an extent to which children are harassed and are punished without doing something which worth the torture. Méndez authored the article. This article is mainly based on the children protection in the prisons and any other places they are. The principal opinion which this article sells is that many children often are dealt with by the juvenile courts in many countries in the world. The article acknowledges the fact that juvenile courts or the issue of confining the children in prison for different wrongdoings are applicable in many cases in the world. However, the article further points out the fact that this force is not enough and points out the fact that these children are exposed to different punishment in this prisons, this, therefore, means that they need protection from such kind of harassments as per the universal human rights article 5. This article is very paramount in this research paper. This paper points out harassments which children undergo in the society. These are inclusive of the children trafficking, there is slavery, and there are punishments from the caretakers and many others. These are the issues which are given weight in the thesis of this paper. This article claims that these are some of the issues whose eliminations advocated by the Universal human right article 5. Muir authored this article. He has authored many other articles in the different field. Secondly, he has been cited by many other authors as one of the best. Moreover, he has mentioned many other articles in this book to allow the issue of comparison and credibility. These mean that the book is credible and reliable. The book was published in the year 2016. It, therefore, means that all the contemporary matters and mostly the current punishment and injustices and tortures which the children face in the word. This make is a more reliable source for the thesis.

Children right is something of importance in the current world. Children rights are in place to ensure that children are protected from injustices which put them at risk of being exposed to the torture either in prisons, by caretakers, teachers and parents. However, this article indicates that human rights, the children rights also inclusive, are not protected. One issue which stands out clearly in this article is that the universal human right of the article 5 is almost a forgotten law in the current world. The article explains that what this article tries to eliminate is that is being practiced in this entire world. The article is very critical in this section since it gives the thesis full and direct support. It will be used in this research to back the fact that the universal human rights of the article 5 directly relate to what happens to the children currently. It will also be used to justify that the children have for any time in the current society been exposed to all manner of cruelty and punishments which have jeopardized their rights as human being. Islam, M. A., & McPhail authored this article. These are two great scholars in this field and have vast knowledge in this area. Moreover, they have associated and have published many books in this field hence making their work credible. Lastly, this has made the book bias less through using other references and having many thoughts and opinions from many people in the article. The book was published in the year 2011 hence covers many contemporary issues in the world which concerns the children. This makes it even more credible for the thesis of this paper.

The paper majors on those issues which they claim are right for punishment and how they should be punished. This article will be used as an opposition point to justify the extent that section 5 should be put in practices on the children in the current society. Bourdillon is the author of the article and his excellent education background, and the knowledge makes this article credible. The article was published in the year 2010; this means that it has covers all the contemporary issues which are very relevant in this matters.
