It's never too late to chase your dreams

Life presents an adventure that leaves some people fulfilled and others unfulfilled. In most cases, people have preconceived ideas on the milestones they would like to achieve. For instance, after completing grade school, people hope to move on to high school and later on join colleges or universities. However, life’s unpredictability and the choices made sometimes make it difficult to achieve our dreams. An individual's background may adversely affect to their journey. For instance, the early years of Oprah Winfrey's life were played by lack. Oprah's mother give birth to her at the age of 14 years and had to contend with poverty. Growing up in a family with meagre resources could have extensively affected Oprah Winfrey's perspective on her ability to achieve various life goals. The destitution that affects about 38.1 million Americans has resulted in the inclination to relinquish their ability to chart a future for themselves. Instead of pursuing their dreams, they indicate an inclination to depend on fate. An individual’s ability to achieve their mission depends on their ability to shun naysayers. Furthermore, a tenacious and persistent character increases the chances for one achieve their objectives regardless of how lofty they might seem. 

A person's willingness to achieve their vision should provide the necessary motivation to transcend various difficulties that they may encounter along the way. Most people have guardians or parents extensively invested in contributing to their success. Despite our ambitions in life, they may have preconceived notions of the most appropriate direction to follow (Cole, 2017). The goals that parents have for their child serve as an impediment where their dependents would like to chase their dreams. For instance, Heather Graham was raised in a Catholic household. Her parents sought to determine the course of life she chose. In 1997, Graham defied her mother and father and starred in her first movie. Over time, she has featured in notable features such as Boogie Nights and La La Land . Despite her success, Graham remains estranged from her parents. The celebrity serves as an example that our dreams sometimes herald some unanticipated consequences. 

People often cite numerous reasons that make them shy away from achieving their goals or dreams. For instance, the difficulties encountered from time to time culminating in the perception of old age creeping in. In some cases, people become bombarded by numerous responsibilities. Under such circumstances, the individuals may indicate a tendency to shelve their dreams. Case in point, a person may become a parent at a young age. The individual may choose to focus on raising their children. 

Life presents numerous opportunities despite the setbacks that an individual might face. Amid the unexpected difficulties, people can find the motivation to start something new that aligns with their personal goals. More specifically, a person might have a goal of having a career life but things may fail to work out. However, an avenue may present itself for the people to pursue another path in their expertise despite the rejection they might have faced. For example, Harland Sanders lost many jobs before eventually deciding to establish a restaurant. At 65 years, Sanders had no money and was at the verge of poverty (Murphy, 2015). In 1952, he sold a Kentucky Fried Chicken outlet under a franchise agreement that paved the way for his success in the subsequent years. Every individual had the chance to achieve their dreams no matter the amount of time that we have gone under the bridge. For instance, Rodney Dangerfield's big break as a comedic actor presented itself when he was 46 years old. The Ed Sullivan Show featured him providing an avenue through which he could thrive.
