Job analysis is often described as “the foundation of human resource (HR) management.” This description is justified, given that job analysis helps managers to identify the required skill sets, depending on the duties and technicalities that come with the job. Job analysis helps organizations to meet the objective of diversification, which is necessary for innovation. Job analysis guides HR managers in developing the best structures and organizational designs for their entities ( Fine & Cronshaw, 2013) . Considering the Lincoln National Corporation Long Term Care (LTC) Company, HR managers can analyze jobs to identify activities that follow similar processes. Grouping reduces duplication of roles, hence promoting better HR management (Lincoln National Corporation, 2018).

Long-term Care and Workflow Analysis

Lincoln National LTC can expand services to include long-term care by showing the value that comes with using their services. The first strategy entails developing a healthcare management plan that is attractive and effective. Another approach is to utilize online communication channels such as email to send regular newsletters to customers. The newsletters enlighten customers on the plans to lower future costs and promote quality service delivery in the future (Singh, 2015). An efficient workflow analysis for Lincoln National will define the current operation standards. From the rules, the management will then come up with policies to improve efficiency, quality of services, and ensure compliance with applicable laws.

Long-term Care Staffing, Work Activities, and Workflow

Long-term care services support the aged people and young individuals with disabilities. Organizations provide these services at nursing homes, care centers based at the community level, or even private residences. Staffing for long-term care is designed to include physicians, nurses, mental health experts, therapists, and pharmacists. Lincoln National has registered nurses, nurse practitioners, and licensed vocational nurses (LVNs). LVNs make diagnoses and provide medications, while physicians work as medical directors. Work activities are guided by supportive and innovation-oriented environments, as well as the desire to optimally provide care and promote quality service delivery (Singh, 2015). A clinical workflow that incorporates a progressive health information technology is likely to occur at Lincoln National Corporation. This workflow guarantees a future in which post-acute and long-term healthcare providers continue to learn new skills and gain more experience as new health issues emerge.
