In his fiction movie, Jonathan Glazer, " Under the Skin ," spent some time as the movie starts as he observed the main film character, an alien that was continually roaming around Glasgow searching for men. The alien, Scarlett Johansson, witnessed numerous tragedies happening around the beach. Two parents are seen drowning due to ocean waters' roughness as the alien stands by with no empathy (Glazer, 2020). However, a swimmer emerges and attempts to rescue the drowning parents from the ocean. Witnessing how helpful the swimmer is to the parents, the alien hits him with a hard rock on the head and walks away with his body.

The scene is compelling and gripping due to the events' sudden occurrence and the aliens' absurd view for humanity. For instance, the alien was continually staring at the parents as they drowned in the ocean without providing any help (Glazer, 2020). Hitting the swimmer on the head further elucidates her lack of concern for the drowning parents and humanity in general. Further, the alien has no sympathy over the crying baby left by the parents on the ocean shores. To a great extent, the alien is greatly separated from human suffering to the level that even when people are faced by unimaginable adversity, she is not moved.

The overall setting and occurrence of events in the film are enthralling. Given the alien and the swimmers' roles, my interest in the film keeps developing thus increasing my desire to watch the more. The scene is accompanied by sounds of crashing waves on the shores, which brings out imagery and cinematic features of the movie. Notably, the director also plays a crucial part in the film by keeping his camera too objective to capture actions effectively and balance the space between viewers and characters.
