Luther's letter sets forth salvation as one of the gifts that have been bestowed by God on humans. Sinners receive the contribution on the basis that the merits of Christ worked on the cross, not as a result of any form of benefits or work done by us as humans. The lectures on Galatians by Martin Luther were written in 1531, and its first publication was done in the year 1535. The talks have been praised for being the greatest Magna Carta on the liberty given to humans.

In the lecture, Luther talks of grace being inbounded the most significant contributor of sin to John Bunya, who was serving his sentence in jail. A long time before all that took place, the God who owns all the ways in his hands makes all men fall before him. The lecture to the Galatians, just like Paul's letter, consists of distinctive statements of autobiography taking of God's promised salvation to men. In the lectures, Luther does not talk of the crucifixion of the flesh but focuses on another form of martyrdom, where sin and death are crucified in human beings. Luther continues and explains what the true definition of Christianity entails.

In the lectures, he stipulates that true Christianity righteousness is the kind of devotion that Christ exists in us as humans. Therefore, humans must look away from other beings. The Christ and consciousness in humans must be merged and become one thing such that the Galatians can no longer see any other thing apart from Christ’s crucifixion and resurrection from the dead for their own sake. From the lectures, it can equally be deduced that Christ is the lord over all the scriptures and all sorts of work.
