The Stanford experimenter has been subject to a variety of studies. The experiment was scheduled to run for two weeks but only lasted for only six days. The reasons for this was because of the deteriorating conditions within the make believe prisons. The reason the experiment should not have continued for such a long time considering the effects that it had on both the prisoners and the guards in the make believe prison ( Konnikova, nd) .

The experiment offered insights into the thinking of prisoners and the captives within there control. It also offered insights into the ethical expectations of an experiment. The study might have violated some of the limits and expectations of a study it however presented a cleat picture of what prison and inmates experience while incarcerated ( McLeod, nd) .

The management of a prison has its effects on both the guards and the prisoners. The experiment no only indicated empathy among the prison guards but also some form of relationship between them and the prisoners. There is an assumed authority in this relationship. Regardless of the position the mental toll that is experienced between all the parties needs to be controlled. That would help the managers make the roles in the prison not too hostile to spill over into a riot or inhuman conditions ( Shuttleworth, nd) .

Management in prison lies in understanding authority and properly executing the reformation process for the prisoners. The experiment presented an insight into the limits that the prison should not exceed and gives a road map to the psychological effects of passing those limits. The rules as such will be restrained within human standards and authority maintained to have a smooth time for booth the prisoner and the guards (Anthis, nd).
