Q1) How to avoid plagiarism in the submitted assignments.
Learning with practice is an essential factor that promotes academic integrity (Walden University, 2020). This involves reading material and practicing how to paraphrase before an examination. This ensures that the student develops a deeper understanding of how to avoid plagiarism.
Setting enough time to read, developing an effective writing process, and reading critically before writing information are essential steps that can help in preventing plagiarism. Rushing to read at the last minute before an examination is a major factor that facilitates plagiarism. Also, failing to create a flexible reading schedule promotes plagiarism. Besides, reading to understand as opposed to reading to memorize information for the examination reduces the incidence of plagiarism.

Being aware that avoiding plagiarism may be difficult when learning new skills or engaging in new ideas. In this case, self-awareness is key to avoiding plagiarism (Walden University, 2020). Paying special attention to the learned material and setting extra time to read and synthesize material is an essential factor that can help in avoiding plagiarism.
Q2) How paraphrasing and synthesizing professional literature strengthens my future nurse scholar-practitioner practice.
Understanding the best paraphrasing approaches would enable me to know the best strategies to use in my practice. The five paraphrasing strategies include reading, identifying the purpose, looking away, imagining and writing, and checking and citing (Walden University, 2020, b). The first step involves reading a passage until it is well understood, while identifying the purpose involves determining what I will do with the evidence posited. In the third stage, the learner looks away from the passage, writes the main points, and then explains these points to a classmate or colleague. The fifth step is about double-checking the information against the original text to ensure that no plagiarism is detected.
Synthesis involves taking multiple sources of empirical information and developing a connection to the information presented. This comparison determines where the information differs or has similarities. Understanding how to synthesize information as a scholar would enable me to use evidence-based practice in the clinical area. In turn, this would be associated with the use of the best treatment interventions and positive patient outcomes.
