According to DrGawande, we all need coaches. Maintaining your best performance on your own is impossible. In every deed, you need a second or even a third opinion to rate the quality of your output. Knowing exactly where your work lies on the ruler of quality helps you to gauge yourself so that you can know what works out for you and what doesn’t. Different professions require coaches with different characters. Getting the right instructor to guide you is what determines your level of excellence. It may take years to get the perfect person to take on your career journey. Traditionally, people thought that after a certain point, they would no longer need their coaches thinking that they have gotten there only to realise that they needed their services regularly to stay at their peak. Perfection is not all about knowing what is expected of you. Every challenge that comes in your line of work requires different treatment ( Blackwell, Trzesniewski and Dweck, 2007) . The uniqueness in the new challenges is the reason why you need constant training, and with every new experience, we change for the better. We all have different abilities in job performance. Even with experience, you are only as good as your coach.

Coaches are not better at doing the job you are specialised in, but they have a unique quality that only they can give. The relationship between the professional and the coach is a funny one; the coach cannot do what the professional does, but he or she can get the best results from the later. In soccer, the play but they are only as good as their coaches. That is a clear illustration of how important coaches are. Much is invested in training. Different coaches produce different team performance. There are those that will take the team all the way up to winning the trophy while others will not even take the players through the group stages. For musicians, the audience is the part that matters most. The coach is the first audience to judge whether your voice came out in its best form and whether it needs improvement. The voice coaches can identify those hidden parts that are hardly recognisable and bring us back in line. We all need to choose the right individuals to coach us so that we can maintain our best performance throughout our career life ( Driemeyer, et al., 2008).

In the field of medicine, new diseases erupt from time to time. The education that you received during your school days may not help you then. There is a reason why employers demand so many years of experience because experience has been rated as the best teacher. As you perform different operations, you discover something new that places you in a better position than that which you were in . You are likely to become better as you progress in your work but only if you are being guided in the right direction. There are those careers that you get better at with age while others tend to be the complete opposite. Those that require physical energy like in the field of sports will see you lose your best performance in your thirties, while, others, like those in the business field, make you better as you age.

Through my experiences in different areas, I have learnt that being trained in the best way on how to handle a new problem is what makes us better. After being educated in a similar way, there are those that will become better than others because of the challenges they encounter and how they are assisted in tackling these problems.
