The Maltz hierarchy of sexual interaction is a continuous makeup intended to the understanding of sexual relations. This model produces six forms or levels, which get subdivided into two. One of the subdivisions is a negative level, which includes impersonal, abusive, and violent. The other division is positive, which entails role fulfillment, making love, and authentic sexual intimacy. The hierarchy gets used as a tool in sex abuse and management of addiction in conjunction with sex education. It also forms sex therapy and helps understand communication, trust, and all sexual human relations.

Positive levels and their variables

These include role fulfillment, making love, and authentic sexual intimacy. A good relationship is highly associated with sexuality assuming that couples who enjoy this drive good partnership than miserable counterparts. It is followed by the affection that ensues when one enjoying the drive of sexual intimacy tends to bring positive mental issues among couples. It gives positive assumptions and positive sexual relationships to those who experience this drive. The variables included in the above discussion vary from person and maybe in the form of personal interest, feelings, needs, and others.

Negative levels and their variables

This level includes impersonal, abusive, and violent, which also plays a role in sexual interaction. When a negative sexual act gets done to either of gender or persons, there is a breakage in the relationship status. Trust issues start to evolve, and other actions such as dishonesty and hatred grow. The variable in this chapter may include the lack of satisfaction and feeling of no love amongst others

The usefulness of learning the above module is to understand sexual interaction better and know what is bad or good in terms of what keeps relations stronger and healthier. Parents and older people can help adolescents teach intimacy by showing them a bill of rights under this chapter, teaching them healthy relationships, and using visual teaching or being role models.

Partnership in lesbians, gay and straight couples

The partnership in the above groups tends to differ, with one from the straight couple tending to last longer due to affection, which is seemingly seen normal in the society. Se sex relation tends to have a gradual change as far as the gender is concerned and clearly outlines shorter periods. It also applies to heterosexuals who have longer sexual interaction than gay ties (Maltz, 1995).

Lifestyles and family life

It affects how someone will sexually interact with one another. Lifestyles include personal interest, which helps one choose and prefer the sexual life they want. The family background reflects the model one wants in life and the prevailing choices that follow.
