The causative agent for the increased severe diarrhea is the cryptosporidium parasite. The water sample from the fountain near the beach tested positive for the parasite. It should include a thorough analysis of the disease beginning with a patient interview to assess the events before them falling sick. Through this investigative approach, it will help in eliminating medication errors as a result of wrong prescriptions.

This is by using analytical methods and applied epidemiology procedures in solving public health issues. Epidemiology allows for timely prevention, control, investigation and detection of diseases or outbreaks hence boosting public health. The major takeaways from the game and epidemiology topics are that I have now understood why investigation is a crucial part of preventing disease outbreaks and progressions. Additionally, working as a team is crucial in epidemiology.
