Employment law refers to the legal and regulatory framework that organizations use to manage people. It is divided into four main categories: labor relations, safety and health, total rewards, and equal employment. These laws protect employees in the organization against unfair treatment. Similarly, employers' incorporation of these laws into organizations helps them avoid legal actions that result from failing to adhere to the laws. When organizations implement these laws, they improve their operations' efficiency and effectiveness in various ways.

Safety And Health
The management of employee safety and health ensures that their physical, emotional, and mental states are excellent and stable. As a result, these employees tend to achieve their maximum performance while in the workplace. This result is because employees that are healthy and in their stable mental state contribute more to the organization, have increased productivity, have a reduced risk of being exposed to injury and diseases, and have a good life quality (Adams, 2019). As a result, when employees perform well, organizations also tend to benefit by optimizing their business operations.
Equal Employment
Implementing equal employment opportunities in the workplace allows organizations to have a diverse workplace. Employees from different backgrounds and with different characteristics also have different capabilities (Sharma, 2016). Therefore, when placed in a workplace setting, they expose the organization to a wide range of ideas and perspectives. Having a workforce that is diverse also enables organizations to know their innate abilities. It provides organizations with a platform to study their strengths and weaknesses and determine areas that need improvement.
All organizations should adhere to employment laws, despite their sizes. These laws benefit not only employees but also organizations that use them. Therefore, before hiring employees, employers should be aware of all the employment laws to ensure that a safe working environment is available.
