Mass media is the primary form of communication that is used to pass information to different groups of individuals in our society. The most frequent used types of mass media are the internet, televisions, radios, magazines, and newspapers. The community mainly depend on these forms of mass media communication platforms for information regarding politics, entertainment, social, and cultural news ( Einav, 2015) . In this essay, we will concentrate more on the newspaper as a form of mass media platform. This paper aims to describe a case that relates to the changes that the traditional newspapers are experiencing. We will also talk about how the revolution of the print newspapers will look like in 2025.
The predicaments that the newspaper industries are facing today are from the fact that most newspapers have significantly transformed over the years. The increase in awareness in the global population has increased the demand for news, and as such, the number of consumers of the traditional newspapers has gone up. Since the demand for news has surpassed the production of publications, most people over the years have opted for other alternative forms of communication ( Einav, 2015) . For instance, most of the consumers of the New York Times today read news online for free. Even though the New York Times has been able to make money through advertisements placed on the online newspapers, the profit margins have significantly gone down as compared to when the traditional newspapers was the main source of revenue for the company.

The sharing of free content in the newspaper industries via the internet has resulted in a complete failure of the model of business. As such, the effects of this transformation has forced most newspaper industries to change different aspects of how they approach the delivery of news ( Einav, 2015) . Digitalization in various sectors of businesses globally has resulted in most industries changing their business strategies to accommodate to the always evolving consumers. The aim of this aspect change, mostly in the newspaper industry, is essential so that such companies can maintain their consumers and at the same time make profits from their products.
Regions across the world are in constant evolution due to the introduction of the internet. As such, consumers are drastically shifting from traditional newspapers as their primary sources of information to online platforms. In my view, in the year 2025 and beyond, most newspaper industries will have transformed almost 90% of their daily production of physical newspaper to online content. The traditional newspaper industries may soon be converted to a full digital house if nothing is done to salvage the historical publication of physical newspapers. More so, since the conventional newspapers use trees as their primary source of paper, the ongoing conferences on talks about global warming and protection of the ecosystem will soon see the abolition of tree cutting as a form of protecting the environment thus shifting most of the paper production to internet-based newspapers.
