There are several ways that, as a manager, I can provide a meaningful and fulfilling environment for employees. Firstly, it is vital to celebrate and grow talent. Managers should encourage the workers to focus on their strengths. People find meaning if their professions are based on their deepest talents and interests (The School of Life, 2015). Secondly, leaders should promote social responsibility and ethics. Individuals feel fulfilled if their work is contributing to the general good. Thus, companies should ensure that their products and services make the world a better place. Finally, it is crucial to fulfilling the personal and career goals of workers. Employees find meaning in work if they are growing and achieving their goals. Therefore, there should be a constant focus on the vision, mission, and purpose of work.
The workplace and corporate culture of a firm must evolve if it is to be fulfilling and meaningful to the employees. For instance, there should be more focus on value instead of profits. Most organizations aim to make profits. Such institutions must instead strive to provide value to its stakeholders, especially consumers. Besides, the corporate culture should become inclusive and incorporate the views of its customers and workers. Employees will only find meaning if they feel important and can contribute to the running of the organization. In addition, companies should place more focus on its mission and values. There should be clear communication to the employees about the aims, achievements, and beliefs of the firm. Through the culture of transparency, workers will understand why they are in the organization, consequently leading to their fulfilment.

The organization can only adapt to cater to the new needs of employees through a clear plan. For example, it will first be necessary to detect and prevent discrimination, which reduces employee job satisfaction. Additionally, a firm must develop a clear vision that will give employees a purpose. When workers understand why they are doing something, they are likely to achieve fulfilment (Big Think, 2011). Besides, there should be equal pay for an equal amount of work. Employees feel satisfied when their efforts are leading to positive results that enhance their career goals and offer value to customers (The School of Life, 2015). Additionally, the company must design and implement an effective hiring strategy. Consequently, it will be able to get the right talent in appropriate positions, increasing the chance of offering a fulfilling and meaningful employment. Organizations must ensure that it hires individuals who are genuinely interested in the job as opposed to those who only work for monetary gains.
