A mortuary affairs specialist is a career in the military that involves soldiers performing duties related to deceased people. It includes searching for fallen and missing members in service, helping to collect remains, preparation and preservation of the remains. The job is not always easy, and it involves facing difficult situations and cites. One depressing issue is the site of many dead people after the war. The pictures and memories always sticks in the minds of the morticians each and every day of their lives. Handling dead bodies with badly dislocated bones, body parts and even unrecognized faces and bodies can be depressing for them. This can be more traumatizing for the mortician if they were close to the fallen soldiers or lost one of their friends in the military. Knowing a person, making friends and losing them in war after few days, leads them to depression, and developing anxiety and anger problems.

Besides, dealing with the family of the deceased can be either frustrating or sympathizing, one might feel sorry for the family by the way they watch them mourn over the death of their member. Comforting the family of the deceased is always hard for the morticians. Some family members can be accusative and blame the death of their member on the line of duty of the mortician. This can be tensing but the mortician has to act professional. Most of the angry family members always utter unpleasant words at the mortician. This can be frustrating and trigger anger in the mortician. Therefore, such frustrating acts and issued can lead to anger problems to the mortician. Additionally, when collecting items of the deceased, morticians can learn a lot from the way the person lead their lives. The clothes, notebooks, and the different items left behind by the deceased will always trigger the mortician’s mind about the person. This can lead to depression.
