The selected organization is Starbucks. Company’s mission is to focus on inspiring and nurturing the human spirit, while the employees serve as the major area of emphasis. The organizations’ vision is to create a company that serves as the premier source of the finest coffee globally, while upholding its uncompromising principles as it realizes growth. The firm’s goals comprise of establishing a culture of belonging and warmth that welcomes everyone, act in a courageous manner to identify new ways of growing the organization, and deliver the best in all the activities that it undertakes (Starbucks Corporation, 2018) . On strategies, Starbucks embarks on serving as a global corporation that makes a difference in the lives of individuals by taking advantage of its brand as well as coffee experience to improve communications among humans. The organization devotes its efforts to expanding in different parts of the world, while still perceiving itself as one neighborhood. Furthermore, Starbucks development strategy targets adapting to distinct markets to address local requirements and needs (Gregory, 2018) . The international strategy by the company comprises of strong fostering solid visibility of its brand, which has played a critical role in allowing the Starbucks to realize tremendous influence worldwide.

For the mission, vision, goals, and strategies that Starbucks adopts, they influenced the organizations performance management system tremendously. The organization has managed to sustain its culture, whereby it ensures that warmth and rapport are vital among employees, which contribute to increased performance. The company’s mission and vision statements as well as goals and strategies target improving the overall experience of the employees and customers. Productive employees contribute to improved service delivery to customers, which translates to increased productivity and profitability of an organization (Starbucks Corporation, 2018) . In the case of Starbucks, it usually extends its warm company culture to its workforce and customers. Starbucks’ cafes use the first names of the customers and employees. Additionally, the manner in which the coffeehouses are designed target offering coziness and warmth. These strategies inspire as well as nurture warm and meaningful relationships between the customers and employees. The organization also focuses a personal; and gradual approach to its workforce to make sure that they handle activities according to the expectations of the company, allowing it to impact on the performance of the employees in a positive manner. This way, Starbucks has managed to grow gradually and continuously at a time (Gregory, 2018) . Thus, the mission, vision, goals, and strategies by Starbucks have contributed greatly to its performance management system.

Starbucks mission, vision, goals, and strategies relate to the individual and team performance within the organization. The company emphasizes on aligning its people while at the same time merging the different that the persons undertake in the group. The organization also makes sure to relate with its workforce telling them whether the activities they undertake are worthwhile or important. Starbucks makes sure to describe the vital role that the different activities that the employees undertake play within the organization. It also changes the workforce’s thinking to facilitate in improving the organization while at the same time making sure that customers receive supplementary services. The diverse duties of individual employees and teams are defined clearly to make sure that the employees know their position within the organization (Mayhew, 2018) . This approach makes sure that the employees understand their roles in the organization, hence leading to improved performance.

The mission, vision, goals, and strategies by Starbucks describe the key objectives together with the purposes of the organization. Internally, the organization assesses the business key together with organization success based on the input of the employees and contributions of its diverse stakeholders. Furthermore, by setting the purpose of the organization, the employees are able to know what the company expects of them while at the same time serving as a guide for the employees to follow while undertaking their duties within the company (Kokemuller, 2018) . In this case, Starbucks has realized increased performance on the side of individual employees together with members of teams, who have contributed to the tremendous growth of the company globally.

Starbucks also ensures to set the purpose of its company, which measures its organizational values, while telling the leaders of the firm the things that they need to do to improve individual and team performance. In this manner, it is able to communicate company values and aims, which give the workforce direction to ensure they deliver their best while at the same time offering customers best services. Overall, the mission, vision, goals, and strategies of the organization direct to the workforce where the company wishes to go, thereby allowing the employees to remain focused (Kokemuller, 2018) . As such, the employees remain energized to realizing the goals of the company, which later contribute to increased competitiveness of the organization in the marketplace.

Considering the mission, vision, goals, and strategies of an organization when making decisions concerning the design of the performance management system, the initiative is essential to overall undertakings of a company. A corporation is able to embark on strategic planning, which allows it to develop strategies, objectives, and tactics for improving performance. The organization gains the capability of generating both short and long-term goals pertaining to performance management. It would be able to determine the extent to which the workforce delivers quality services to the customers in line with their overall input to enhance the efficiency of the organization. Furthermore, a company is able to institute effective feedback monitoring and employees training score, which contribute to increased customer satisfaction (Mayhew, 2018) . These initiatives play a critical role in terms of making sure that the performance system of the organization is headed to the right direction.
