The values I consider most important

In life, there are several values I hold, and I try my best not to waver from. I find values as the things that I believe are important to how I live, relate with others, and relate to the surrounding. They tell me if my life is turning out as I wish it to be, and they determine my priorities.

One of my top values is loyalty. Relationships mean a lot to me. Faithfulness in a relationship is essential if it is to endure. Loyalty gives a relationship its bond and strength. I feel safe when there is shared trust, and I believe loyalty should be a key ingredient in every relationship. Commitment is another value I would like to develop in all aspects of my life. To be able to achieve my goals and objectives, I am required to be dedicated and devoted. This also applies to my relationships. It takes a level of work to maintain relationships with family, friends, and significant others. One is committed mostly to what is important to their life. Education forms a significant part of this. I am committed to my education as much as possible.

It is important for me to be humble. Those I have been around have always imparted in me that I am no better than anyone neither am I any worse. I have been taught to nurture humility. Although the world imposes inequalities amongst us, everybody deserves a fair chance. I have my own imperfections, just as others do. I should not dwell on them too much. I should not judge, and I help or assist others when I can. Humility and kindness go hand in hand. Kindness is important to me. It is good to be kind to others. I believe in being courteous and accommodative of others. I feel very well when I receive the same treatment from others.

How my values conform to the principles of epistemology

My knowledge of mutual trust in a relationship makes me justify my loyalty to another person we have a relationship with. Such a relationship may be with family, friends, or significant others. It is easy to justify something if you have knowledge of it. Loyalty works both ways. The evidence that is already available that commitment leads to success motivates. It is easy to justify my commitment since I have already encountered successful and dedicated people. The same applies to humility and kindness. I am aware that my kindness is appreciated by others since I feel good when the same is done to me. Values are important in life, and there is overwhelming evidence to support this.

When and where I have learned more in my life

The most important life experiences have come mostly in school, especially in the last few years. I have learned some of the values I cherish from the school system or from people I have met in schools such as friends and teachers. The school has furthered my understanding of right and wrong. It has helped me shape my mindset and built my character. I have, at times, hated schools, but that feeling goes away once you realize the importance of a good education. This makes one resilient, motivated, and better prepared for life ahead. Although there is a lot I have learned outside school, I feel the things I have learned in school are more crucial in preparing for the future. Most of the values I have shared are learned and tested through everyday experience in school. I feel a school builds a strong foundation for personality and career success.
