Position Summary : The holder of this position will report directly to the Head of Operations at the head office, located in New Jersey. The individual will be an overseer of all human operations in the Head office, with an occasional check-in in the various branches. The individual will also be responsible for hiring and coordination of all human resources for the functioning of the business. As defined by the company’s culture, the individual will also be expected to listen to a meet employee requirements, as outlined by company policy ( Noe, Hollenbeck, Gerhart, & Wright, 2017) .
Duties and Responsibilities :
- Execute the human resource strategies that attract new and maintain existing employees to support short and long-term company goals.
- Research on human resource development, improvement, and maintenance of employee relevance in organizations.
- Ensure staffs are updated on changing trends concerning management and employee productivity through occasional training.
- Evaluate employee skills and their applicability and relevance to the organization.
- Update employee job descriptions based on company needs, per employment and labor law.
- Represent the company in human resource-related events.
- Organize for team building sessions when necessary to nurture company culture and foster teamwork, especially between different departments.
- Decide and follow up on disciplinary action for employees who go against their job descriptions or do not adhere to company rules and regulations concerning work time.
- Hire and fire employees based on company guidelines.
- Any other duties assigned by the head of operations ( Soliman & Spooner, 2016)
Minimum Qualifications :
- A bachelor’s degree in human resource management.
- At least three years of experience working with human resource management applications in a reputable organization.
Essential Required Skills :
- Management and business awareness skills in daily operations.
- Organizational skills with the ability to understand and analyze detailed information.
- Strong Information technology skills and the ability to handle and manipulate large data.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge on use of digital employee shortlisting and hiring applications since Nestle Collections receives a large number of applications.
- An excellent understanding of the law on employment, including regulations by the Equal Employment and Opportunities Commission and the State’s labor law.
- Ability to influence and direct others (leadership skills).
- Patience and integrity.
Compensation and Benefits :
- The human resource manager will be entitled to an annual gross salary of $110,112, which is subject to statutory deductions.
- The individual will also receive an annual housing allowance of $ 21,000.
- The manager will also be entitled to a medical cover that includes inpatient and outpatient healthcare services for the nuclear family.
- The individual will be entitled to travel allowances per company guidelines, whenever they are required to travel within and without the country on official duty.
- All employees of Nestle Collections are also entitled to a one month, excluding holidays, paid leave annually.
- Nestle Collections also runs a social welfare group, whose membership is voluntary.
