Musical notation defines the visual record from an imagined or heard the sound of music. Musical notation takes either written or oriented forms. Aided by motives to memorize communication. The aid is to help shape the composition to a sophisticated level that is impossible to master in the oral traditions. The basic characteristics of the musical sound include the pitch, which is the music location on the scale that gives the interval in music. The duration is the next element and describes the rhythm in music or the tone color and the musical volume. The pitch can be visualized by the physical comparison of the graphical position of the two, not e s as either high or low. 

The duration is the time identity in music and plays by giving the music its linear structure. Duration in music is defined by the moment the audibility of the tine is made to the time it falls off the ability to be heard.

Quality in music is also defined by the tonal ability to be adjudged by the listener such as from the time a bell is rad to the point it is heard in the neighborhood. 

Intensity defines how loud a tone is and is the last after all the other three elements are analyzed. 

Transition gives the music its generational moves especially from the 16 th century and includes the how different values are introduced from the older ones to make music more valuable. The short notes value are applied to replace the long values which are are seen as obsolete. Notation is used to show the musical playing position and not pitch as used for lute.
