Since then, it has spread in many parts of the world, influencing the behavior and the social life of many people in the world. COVID-19 has become one of the biggest global challenges in modern times (WHO, 2020). The virus has had a huge impact on the behaviors and attitude change amongst people in many parts of the world. The impact of the virus has forced many governments and organizations to respond. This article outlines people's thoughts, feelings, and actions as a result of the virus. The World Health Organization has published important information about COVID-19 from the various researchers in the world. People in the countries affected by CIVID-19 have changed their way of life and thinking as a result of the pandemic.
COVID-19 has created uncertainties in many countries. According to a global survey, many people think that imposition of travel bans and quarantine have had significant impacts on mitigating the negative impacts of COVID-19. According to the results of the global survey, 42% of the respondents think that covid-19 has become a threat in the modern world. Many businesses and governments have suffered the detrimental effects of the virus. The research indicated that many people think they are getting enough information regarding the spread and patterns of covid-19. 80% of the interviewed people had atleast read, seen, or heard fair information about the outbreak. People have differing thoughts on the global spread of the virus (Wood, 2020).

Many people think that the process of mandatory testing is essential in curbing the rate of spread of virus infections. The process of screening should be particularly intensive in people traveling from countries with high cases of infections. People think that the procedures of mandatory quarantine for the people suspected to have contacted the disease are critical in the fight against the epidemic. According to the global survey by IPSOS, over 80% of the people who participated in the survey favored quarantine of suspects and compulsory screening. People are supporting the ideas of travel bans, which have been imposed in a number of countries. Many people think that covid-19 has caused panic in many parts of the world. Then WHO declared that covid-19 was a global pandemic many people rushed to stock up in readiness to stay indoors with classes being suspended.
Since the emergence of covid-19, people in many countries of the world have developed diversified feelings due to the uncertainty and the risks posed by the pandemic. Many people have become anxious about what the future holds for them. With many institutions and businesses closed, many people are anxious about the current situation. Many people are feeling down and fed up by the pandemic. Many people in some countries that have enforced lockdowns are tired of staying indoors. In some instances, protestors protesting the stay at home orders. Many people are feeling down since they cannot interact with their families and friends. Interactions are essential in human life. COVID-19 has reduced interactions due to regulations of social distancing and minimized movements. People have limited platforms to share their lifetime concerns and worries. Stress has affected people in many parts of the world.
Covid-19 has seen many people lose their jobs as many businesses have closed down due to fears of covid-19 infections. Reduced social interactions have contributed to increased stress levels. With reduced wages and loss of employment, some people are having challenges in accessing the essential life necessities. This further contributes to stress and anxiety. Intense depression levels have resulted in depression.
Covid-19 has changed the way of life in many parts of the world. Many people are keeping indoors, making minimal visits to groceries and shopping. Many health authorities in many parts of the world encourage people to keep safe by staying at home. According to the world health organization, keeping a social distance is one of the critical efforts in curbing the rate of spread of the infection. People are stocking up their stores in readiness for tough times ahead. There have been efforts to keep people happy during their stay at home time. With people being urged to appreciate and accept the prevailing situation to reduce the stress levels. Colleges and other learning institutions have closed in some cases, education being conducted online. This has had some negative impacts on education due to the lack of face to face interactions between the lecturers and the students. Teams’ collaboration in learning has been affected.
Many protesters in the United States have continued to protest against the lockdown orders. Having stayed in-house for many months, many people have become fed up of the stay at home regulations. Parents and their children are spending a lot of time together. This has provided the opportunity for good family bonding. There have been some cases of reported domestic violence due to the high-stress levels and the orders to stay at home as stated earlier people have high standards as a result of the pandemic. The high levels of stress have resulted in a slight increase in the number of domestic violence cases. Uncertainty about the progress of the pandemic and how long it will last has generated many questions amongst people. Many people do not know until when they will be indoors and when they will resume their normal operations. Instead, the number of new infections and deaths are increasing every day.
Both the United States and European countries have suffered the negative impacts of covid-19. There has been a slight difference between COVID-19 responses in America and European countries. While people in the united states are making frequent protests against their orders to stay at home, many European country's citizens are taking the pandemic with much precaution. How the United States is responding to the covid-19 in relation to European countries can be perceived from three perspectives. The first option regards the populations at risk. In the united states, the population is comprised of older adults who have other underlying medical conditions. Underlying conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, and heart diseases, among other conditions, make the United States population vulnerable (Carden, 2020). The huge pressure from covid-19 cases has increased the demand for healthcare services. The bed capacity and the workforce in the united states are limited compared to many other developed countries in Europe. This puts a strain on the resources limiting their capacity to fight the pandemic. The affordability of healthcare in the United States has become a challenge. About 44 million people in the United States are underinsured, while 30 million people are uninsured. This has affected the accessibility of healthcare in the United States. Many people could end up foregoing medical care due to the high costs involved.
The united states have been criticized for inadequate testing measures with the general covid-19 control measure lacking proper coordination. Many medical health workers were not able to get the protective gear and the testing kits early enough to control the spread of covid-19. European countries have well-coordinated efforts in the control of the pandemic. The United States administration dismantled the agencies responsible for these responses leaving the people vulnerable. The European countries have high levels of preparedness compared to the United States. However, in recent times both the united states have intensified that testing effort. The testing efforts have been critical in implementing regulatory measures and controlling the disease.
Research and science are heavily relied upon to offer a solution to COVD-19. As the cases of confirmed infections continue to rise in the United States and the entire world, research and science are expected to play a critical role in curbing the disease. Researchers in many parts of the world, continue to research covid-19 to generate a vaccine that can be used in reducing the rate of infection (Siegel, 2020). The power of science and research continues to give hope to many people during the pandemic. In the twenty-first century, COVID-19 and other infections cannot be solved with the use of assumptions. Research into the behavior of the virus, including the spread, has been efficient in formulating regulations. It is through science that discoveries can be made into the disease treatment and reduction of the number of deaths resulting from COVID-19.
There are many activities in the economy that have been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. The people’s way f life has been changed with people being confined into indoors, making rare travels for essential commodities. People have been affected psychologically, nesting the need for the availability of counseling services for the psychologically affected people. There has been an increased loss of jobs in many parts of the world. Some companies have reduced their employees' wages in the efforts to save their companies from going bankrupt. Various countries have enhanced regulations to control the pandemic with different countries giving different interventions and solutions in curbing the spread of the infection. Many researchers and scientists continue to find vaccines in various nations of the world. Science and research are expected to be essential in generating solutions to the COVID-19 pandemic.
