While the question about one thing that irritates me is mildly ambiguous, a number of things come to mind from interpersonal relationships, casual encounters, workplace environment, social settings, and so on. The presented behaviors in this environment greatly affect those who are around. On average, the modern worker will spend at least 8hours a day at the workplace environment. In this regard, it is our individual duty to ensure that the office setting can accommodate all members irrespective of gender, class, race, or ethnic background. I believe that the appropriate grooming is a necessity in the workplace hence bad body odor and inappropriate dressing should be completely avoided at the workplace.
The modern society has experienced a sudden rise in importance about dressing and fashion. This has extended from the red carpet shows or fashion weeks and directly into the workplace. Individuals have developed a misplaced sense of personal belief that the organization has no right to dictate the attire that they should wear. In this case, they become negligent of the impact they have on others. There is an alternative group who care less about what others think of them. They will usually arrive at work without taking a shower or brushing their teeth hence emitting bad body odor. Such behaviors should stop with immediate effect. It is bad enough that other workers have to struggle with the difficulty and stressful nature of the tasks assigned to them, the people within that environment should not be an additional source of stress. Stealing away attention through provocative dressing or neglecting it altogether are two extremes on either end of the spectrum that create a negative ambience of the workplace environment.
