Adult Clinical Services and Mental Health function is one of the areas I will target for further improvement. The services accorded by the department are critical in improving quality of life, promoting recovery and behavior change as well as supporting community integration. The area is selected due to the rising trend in substance abuse, a problem that leads to increased mental health issues. Recommendations on the area underscores the need to improve the functionality by increasing assessment services and adopting more group sessions. The area requires urgent improvement in health assessment, which is a salient care activity in identifying patient health problems. Improvement of the function will facilitate identification of patient medical needs by proactively conducting physical examinations to expose and treat underlying health issues ultimately leading to improved quality of life. Improvement will also focus on shifting from individual sessions to group therapy particularly emphasizing on mental health. Improvement will be realized through formation of psychoeducational groups, cognitive behavioral groups, interpersonal process groups and skill development carders. Group sessions will realize improvement since each member will have an opportunity to share personal experiences, and receive real time feedback and support from colleagues ultimately leading to improved health outcomes ( Resick et al., 2015) . Group sessions will instil new skills on how to relate with others and enable other patients realize that they are not alone thereby increasing the propensity of improvement.
Community-based Service department will also be targeted for improvement. Under the function, improvement endeavours will focus on increasing home healthcare and soliciting funds and grants for enhanced community healthcare services. Home health care is a cost effective care delivery approach as it eliminates pertinent expenses associated with room and board costs ( Braekers et al., 2016) . Home care offers comfort consequently promoting healing and swift recovery. Home care will drive improvement in the identified area through delivery of services such as activities of daily living (ADL), support with diet and nutrition, medication management as well as one-on-one focus and support leading to an overall healthy population ( Legg et al., 2016) . Solicitation of funding will bolster the department’s capacity to recruit addition home care providers and facilitate their movement from one home to another.

I would like to enquire more information from the Information Technology Department. I would ask for additional information on the how the IT function can create a platform that would link patients in home care environments with care providers. Information technology would be imperative in establishing a seamless communication between care providers and patients at home ( Hitt & Tambe, 2016) . The IT department should supply information on the feasibility of connecting patients to a WIFI and gadgets which they can use to contact care providers in case of emergencies requiring swift response. WIFI would be a critical resource in enabling patients to access guidelines on healthy living such as recommended diet.
How the trends may have bearing on the organization’s future
Additional community services as indicated in the HCBHC corporate memo will contribute to organization expansion in future. The services will provide an excellent opportunity for Harbour City behavioral Center to grow its business in future due to the increased need to offer additional behavioral health services to the community. The trends will necessitate increased funding to support the organization’s efforts geared towards controlling adolescent substance abuse which is a platform for the organization to expand its business in future.
Assessment issue tied to meeting regulatory requirements
Health professionals in HCBHC addressing the increased adolescent substance abuse will be required to uphold patient rights, maintain their privacy and confidentiality. Assessment of patients to enforce behavior change while observing patient rights will be tied towards complying with the federal HIPAA regulation.
