Also, the study will require a structured questionnaire so as not to limit the number of respondents. The validity of data will highly depend on the response of students and parents. In this sense, with a high number of respondents, it will be easy to get a deep insight of the questionnaire responses trends and patterns.
In observe ethical issues, the researcher will maintain the confidentiality of information to be obtained during the data collection. Thus, the data to be obtained will be stored in a password protected folders and any physical document destroyed after recording. Similarly, the collection of data will not involve identifying information such as names or email address. The study will not demonstrate the amount of involvement in the community or cultural contexts. Among the steps that the study will adopt is focusing on the developmental stages of students. Essentially, it will consider the context in which student’s involvement with parents and various perspective of assessing the influences. Furthermore, respondents will be free not to answer any questions that they feel it is inappropriate. Lastly, the causal design will help in coming up with conclusive findings based on the previous studies. Also, it provides informative evidence to the impact of parents on the student's academic performance.
