The world we live today has changed a lot and is not the earlier one when responsibilities of bringing up youths could be left out or could be given to one party. We live in a world where young people have a liberal altitude about sex. Therefore, it is the mandate of teachers and parents to advice youths on sex matters. Notably, the number of sexually transmitted diseases and infections have increased and hence the increase in possibilities of getting infected. In addition, young age pregnancy is another huge problem on youth growth and development. Problems associated with early age sex lead to unbearable circumstances and can even lead to death of the victim. Therefore, sex education should be a role for both parents and schools to overcome occurrence of such sex related problems. It is evident that when such cases happen, either party blames the other of negligence. In that case, both parties should be responsible and as a result there will be no such cases and incase of one, parties will not lay blame on the other. Neither will the youth claim lack of information.
In essence, the risk of having sex at young age should be incorporated in talks both at home and at school. The use of contraceptives should be part of advice both parents and teachers give to young people. Sexuality talks are very paramount in youth’s life during puberty. Notably, discussing sexuality issues enhances knowledge about sex and its consequences at puberty. When parents and teachers talk to youths about sexuality issues, they should consider showing them the protected ways of having sex to safeguard those who cannot abstain to marriage. However, the two parties should stress on abstinence as is the safest way through. As many youths have been complaining of lack of information in such an instance, parents and teachers will have taken of the blame from them.

In the past, parents had left the responsibility of teaching youth’s sexuality to teachers. Many schools tried but it was a burden as it was not part of government curriculum. According to Quebec (2018), school is considered as a social environment where interactions between youths and adult teachers happen. Youths therefore have many opportunities to learn how to strive in the society through romantic relationship, friendship, egalitarian relationship among other form of interaction. Therefore, it is a good ground to train youths about sexuality when they reach puberty. In school children form friendship with other student and teachers than they could do with their parents. As a result, they are more open about their private life at school than at home. However, the writer argues that, sexuality education should start at home because home is the fast place any person encounters the real way that man and woman live and interact with one another. At home is where one learns how to interact with various people, receive and express empathy, love and affection. Therefore, it is paramount to involve parents in sexual education while respecting their values and involving their personality. Though, it is notable that parents feel embarrassed to discuss sexuality issues with their children. But with the increased number of cases and blames, parents have to be involved actively in sexuality education. To achieve this, parents are advised to create a climate of trust among their children so that children can feel comfortable to ask questions on issues concerning them. In addition, to enable them answer appropriately, parents should seek out supportive information from teachers and from partners in the healthcare system so that they will not mislead their kids. To sum up the discussion, it is the responsibility of both parents and teachers to educate youths on sexuality to cub problems associated with early age sex.
