The state of air and water quality in Olmsted County requires considerable attention owing to the gravity of the issue in the region. When it comes to air quality, Olmsted County ranked among the worst/dirtiest 10 percent of the different counties within the U.S. in 1999 based on pm-10 emissions (GoodGuide, 2011) . A countrywide report reveals that Olmsted County’s waste incinerator is among the dirtiest in terms of emission of particulate matter. It ranks 72 nationwide as a county that emits the biggest air pollutant amounts (Petersen, 2019) . On matters related to water quality, Olmsted County comprises of a segment of three watersheds, including Buffalo-Whitewater, Zumbro, and Root. In this area, the surface water percentage portraying reported problems is 4 percent (GoodGuide, 2011) . In this vein, it is apparent that the state of air and water quality in Olmsted County serves as a major area of concern that demands considerable attention in an effort to improve the overall health and wellbeing of the society.

Within Olmsted County, the major toxins, which are posing major threat to the health wellbeing of the region comprise of lead compounds, lead, hydrochloric acid, toluene, n-butyl alcohol, xylene (mixed isomers), styrene, methyl ethyl ketone, and eethylbenzenes. When these toxins affect reach to the air or water bodies of the area, they pose major pollution threat, which threaten the overall health of the region. They are mostly the major forces behind the growing cases of cancer in the zip code and other related illnesses (Petersen, 2019) . Regarding the zip code, the major surprising thing is that Olmsted County serves as among the worst/dirtiest regions within the state of Minnesota and countrywide. This is despite the fact that other counties in the state have managed to reduce the levels of air and water pollution considerably (GoodGuide, 2011) . In this case, devising ideal measures for dealing with the toxins would play a critical role in making sure that the society emerges increasingly healthy.
