Almost every country in the world is experiencing population aging. There were fewer children unlike older adults in many developed regions by 1998. Globally, we are likely to see the number of older people surpassing the number of children by 2045 ( United Nations, 2009) . Based on the study conducted, the above claims prove to be true as it is stated that the twenty-first century will record a high number of people who are aging, compared to the twentieth century. From the claim, 2045 is still considered to be in the twenty-first century that most people will age and the rate will surpass the population of children. In this case, most countries in the world are experiencing population aging since their economic development proves to be slow.

Although shingles are not transmitted from person to person, the virus itself, varicella zoster, can be spread from a person with an active case of shingles to one who has never had chickenpox. The exposed person might then develop chickenpox but not shingles ( CDC, n.d.). As stated in the article, shingles is a virus transmitted through direct contact with rash or blisters. Individuals who have shingles are known to transmit the virus during the blister phase. Thus, the virus cannot infect a person if the blisters have not appeared. The article also states that shingles cannot be transmitted if a person has covered the rash. In this case, people who have shingles should avoid scratching the rashes to prevent the varicella-zoster virus from spreading.

The average violent conflict today claims 90 percent fewer casualties annually than did the average conflict in the 1950s ( Worsnip, 2010) . The author presents that some casualties have reduced by a margin of 90 percent. This factor shows that wars tend not to be deadly as compared to the ones that took place in the 1950s because the war casualties are offered advanced and safe health care compared to the ones who took part in the 1950’s conflicts.

Somalia was ranked the number one failed state in 2010 ( Frankel, 2010 ) . From the article, Somalia is ranked as the failed state for the past three consecutive years. The country’s failure is caused by factors such as chaos and lawlessness caused by the Coastal pirates. Other than that, Islamist militias have taken control of Mogadishu. Somalia’s failure is also contributed to its economy which has not shown any improvement for many years.

Approximately 2.2 million people die annually from diarrheal disease; 88% of those cases are caused by poor hygiene and unsafe water ( World Bank, 2003). The practice of better hygiene can result in clean drinking water that can reduce the rate of diarrhea in many areas. Besides, safe sanitation can also help reduce diarrhea since it can cause contamination of water to the people.
