Globalization is the process of global integration of economic, cultural and political nature of a nation or the globe as a whole. Because of this, the world has become a small village. In the past 25 years, the rampant development of transport and communication technology- which is as a result of globalization- has led to a situation where national borders cannot limit most of the economic activities. More so in developing countries, globalization has played a significant role in improving the productivity and living standards. Indeed, some of the areas globalization affect include, technology, economics, politics, culture, natural environment, and health system (Robertson, pg. 559).

The impacts of globalization in the world are either positive or negative. The first positive impact that is experienced through the adoption of globalization is free trading opportunities among nations thereby improving the economic standards of the countries. Moreover, globalization has made communication easier and faster; henceforth, products are easily shared between the countries. Additionally, it has made the world a global village since it has removed the cultural barriers. Also, globalization has minimized war in the developed countries. On the other hand, the negative impacts of globalization are; production of harmful products by some countries. Regarding this, there are some rules and regulation that has been established which has controlled the production of these toxic products. Another negative impact is that people run to work in the developed countries and cities. Most of the industries are in these places, and they are in need of cheap labor. Hence, people in the rural run for such job because of unemployment (Robertson, pg. 561).

In conclusion, globalization has enabled the countries to come together and make themselves as part of the world rather than a country on its own. Even though we can point out the negative impacts of globalization, it is evident from the above discussion that the positive effects are dominant. Moreover, it is possible to minimize the risk of the negative impacts. Thus, it is evident that globalization has brought us well.
