When it comes to private security firms and federal agencies partnering, it all boils down to making sure objectives that could not be achieved alone by a specific group are met with the help of the other group. Partnerships between private security firms and federal agencies help improve the current strategies being used by each group all in an effort to provide professional security services to clients and the public community. In order for private security firms to actively help federal agencies to develop future comprehensive responses capable of dealing with different pandemics, they should perform the following roles in supporting law enforcement and other responsible federal agencies.
First, is help develop operating procedures for missions to be undertaken during a pandemic
This may be undertaken by the private security firms helping federal agencies create quarantine centers that are meant to keep the affected population secure and away from the uninfected population in order to prevent the spread of the pandemic.

Second is provide security for federal agencies
This may come in of the form of providing supplies for federal security agencies as they push to control the pandemic affecting the area in question. They may also help in keeping order in places that are affected by preventing mass riots or tension that may occur among the affected population due to fear or confusion.
Third is to help develop coordination mechanisms to deal with a pandemic
Policies and ways of dealing with future pandemics are always important in order to handle the whole situation in an orderly manner; as this prevents the spread or start of a pandemic.
The supportive roles would effectively support law enforcement and other government agencies effectively respond any pandemic and other emergencies. As O’Reilly (2011), suggest such a partnership would be effective. It is highly recommended that such partnerships start off by developing policies for public-private partnerships.
