Casey needs counseling from various departments due to her depression which is contributed by the various issues she is facing currently. According to the text, Casey is a heavy drinker whereby she takes alcohol 2 to 3 times a week. This act of drinking started at her young age whereby her older cousins and friends influenced hence ending up as an addict. Second, Casey is involved in lesbianism. Lesbians in other societies are considered as immoral. The relationship mentioned earlier still has a challenge in the community we live in since it has not faced full acceptance. The people involved in such kind of relationships get rebuked hence they practice it mostly in secrecy.

Casey is facing a lot of problems majorly due to her addiction to alcohol and her relationship. The massive consumption of alcohol has made her partner Angie to start complaining about the behavior. When a relationship starts to face this kind of problem, it might end up breaking or bringing depression to the people involved. Casey is just but a victim hence the distress she is experiencing due to the fear of losing her relationship and the arguments they usually experience. Casey’s situation is delicate hence the agent need of addressing it. Addition to alcohol is not an issue that can get dealt with in a day, but it is a long process one has to decide to undergo. The healing procedure entails patience, understanding and above all support from your loved one. For instance, Casey will need Angie’s help and her family to go through the entire process. As for her relationship, she will need to accept whatever the society throws at her and come out loud enough to face it all. Sometimes one has to fight for whatever he or she believes in and become proud of it and not getting into depression. Casey has to learn how to fight the negativity around her. For instance, the people who rebuke her relationship.

People go into depression due to various reasons and some end dying since they never got the help they needed from the right individuals. Depression can also get addressed by the Human Service Programs whereby they look for solutions to one’s problem hence the betterment of that person’s life (Almog-Bar & Schmid, 2014). For instance, the alcohol addiction can get cured in rehabilitation centers, Casey can also advise Angie so that they can visit couples therapy whereby they all will undergo counseling and lastly enroll themselves as members in LGBT community which fights for their rights (Wender, Sharpe & Patel, 2016).

My plan of action in solving Casey’s situation entails visitation of different departments under human service programs. First, I will need Casey and Angie’s parents to offer their full support to the recovery of Casey and restoration of a peaceful relationship for their children. Their parents will act as their number one fans in providing their full support and love so that Casey and Angie will not feel lonely. The presence of Angie in the process acts an encouragement to Casey and a symbol of love to her. Second, Casey will enroll in a nearby rehabilitation center to commence on her addiction treatment whereby she gets all the guidance and encouragement needed to make her well again. After that, I will introduce the couple under discussion to a best couple’s therapy where they will present the issues that cause conflicts in their relations. Here, they will get the advice needed to maintain and keep their relationship. Lastly, Angie and Casey should enroll in the LBGT community as members. In the LBGT center, they will get protected, and their rights fought for just like the rest of the members in the society. Lesbianism is also a form of a relationship like any other relationship hence should get treated like one. The couple under discussion should learn to ignore the society’s view about their kind of contact so has to live positively. Casey’s can react positively or negatively due to the whole process arranged for her hence both the outcomes get expected. The community’s intervention regarding Casey’s rehabilitation and the rest of the human service organizations entails some of their significant roles in the society. The organizations mentioned above play their roles in the community to show their concern for humanity. The advice and guidance given to Casey’s case will enhance her recovery and falling back into the society as any other average individual.
